2. Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word, 2. Ka Finna i ni, aw Nang, Nunna Thu,
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord; I hnênah ka awm e, Nang ka hnênah;
Thou my great Father, and I Thy true son; Nang, ka Pa ropui, kei i malsâwm fa;
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one. Min awmpui reng la, min thlahthlam suh la.
3. Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight; 3. Ka Chakna i ni, aw Ngûnhnâm ropui;
Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight; Nang, ka zahawmna leh ka lâwmna ber;
Thou my soul’s Shelter, Thou my high Tow’r: Ka thlâ humhimtu, ka hulh hliap i ni:
Raise Thou me heav’nward, O Pow’r of my pow’r. Vân min hruai thleng la, aw Chakna ropui.
4. Riches I heed not, nor man’s empty praise, 4. Hausak ka dil lo, hlemhlêtna te nên,
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always: Nang chauh ka ro hlu i ni kumkhuain;

1. Come, Thou Fount of every blessing, 1. Nang, kan malsâwmna hnâr i ni,
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace; I khawngaihna fak ka nuam;
Streams of mercy, never ceasing, I zahngaihna a dâi lo’ng e,
Call for songs of loudest praise. Nang, chawimawi che hi ka nuam.
Teach me some melodious sonnet, Fak hla mawi te min zirtir la -
Sung by flaming tongues above; Vân chawimawina hla ngei chu;
Praise the mount, I'm fixed upon it, I hmangaihna ka fak bâng lo’ng,
Mount of Thy redeeming love. Kalvari hmangaihna chu.
3. Oh, that day when freed from sinning, 3. Ka nghakhlel êm, sual awm loh hun,
I shall see Thy lovely face; A hmêl mâwi ka hmuh hun tûr;
Clothed then in the blood washed linen, Puan vâr sinin kan lêng tawh ang,
How I'll sing Thy wondrous grace. Khawngaihna mak fak chungin.
Come, my Lord, no longer tarry, Lo kal ang che, aw ka Lalpa,
Take my ransomed soul away; Ka thlarau ko haw tûrin;
Send Thine angels now to carry, Vân angel te’n min hruai haw ang,

1. How deep the Father’s love for us, 1. Pa hmangaihna a va thûk êm,
How vast beyond all measure, Dâwn phâk rual loh a ropui,
That He should give His only Son A Fapa mal kan tân a pe
To make a wretch His treasure. Sual \awm kai lo a chhandam.
How great the pain of searing loss - A tuarna kan dâwn phâk nem’aw
The Father turns His face away, A Pa’n a hawi san tûr chu,
As wounds which mar the Chosen One Vân Lal Fapa an khai kâng maw,
Bring many sons to glory. A fate chhandam tûrin.
2. Behold the man upon a cross, 2. En ru, kraws-a an khai kân saw,
My sin upon His shoulders; Kan sual phurin an khêngbet;
Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice Ka aw ka hria misual zingah
Call out among the scoffers. A hming lamin ka cheksawlh.
It was my sin that held Him there Ka sual vângin an khai kâng a,
Until it was accomplished; Ka bat tlâk tûrin a thi;
His dying breath has brought me life - A thihna zarah nun ka nei,
I know that it is finished. A kin ta ka buaina zawng nên.
3. I will not boast in anything, 3. Eng dang reng chhuan ka phal tawh lo’ng,
No gifts, no power, no wisdom; Thilpek, thuneih, fin ni se;
But I will boast in Jesus Christ, Lalpa Krista chauh ka chhuang ang,
His death and resurrection. A thih leh thawhlehna chu.
Why should I gain from His reward? Engvangin nge min lo hmangaih?
I cannot give an answer; Chhân tûr rêng ka nei lo ve;
But this I know with all my heart - Ka thinlungin hei hi ka hria –
His wounds have paid my ransom. Min tlanin min chhandam ta.

My perfect, spotless righteousness, Sualna nei lo, diknaa khat,
The great unchangeable I AM, Ka hreng ropui “Awma” ngei chu

One with himself I cannot die. Amahah chuan ka nung reng ang,
My soul is purchased by his blood! A thisenin min lei tawh si;

Slain for us - and we remember A nunna, kan tân a hlân e,
The promise made that all who come in faith A thihna kraws chu rinna in pan r’u,
Find forgiveness at the cross. Ngaihdamna i chang ngei ang.
So we share in this bread of life, A Taksa, kan nun nân a pe,
And we drink of His sacrifice A Thisen, kan sual tlanna nên,
As a sign of our bonds of peace Lo kal r’u, thlamuanna zârah,
Around the table of the King. Lalpa dawhkân chu rawn pan r’u.
2. The body of our Saviour Jesus Christ, 2. Kan Lalpa Isua Krista taksa chu
Torn for you - eat and remember Ei rawh u, Amah hriat reng nân,
The wounds that heal, Kan hliam tidamin,
the death that brings us life nunna thar kan lo chan ve nân,
Paid the price to make us one. Kan tuar ai tuarin a thi.
So we share in this bread of life, Nunna chhang chu rawn ei rawh u,
And we drink of His sacrifice A tlanna thisen hlû nên chuan,
As a sign of our bonds of love Lo kal r’u, hmangaihna zârah,
Around the table of the King. Lalpa dawhkân chu rawn pan r’u.

Calling for you and for me; Nang leh kei min sâwm reng e;

2. Why should we tarry when Jesus is pleading, 2. Eng vângin nge hun kan hman ral mai ang,
