By His own betrayed; Hmuhsit, endawng chuan,
The sin of man and wrath of God, Hringmi sual leh Pa thinur,
Has been on Jesus laid. Kan tân a phur ta a.

Beaten mocked and scorned; Cheksawla awm in;
Bowing to the Father's will, Pa duhzâwng chu hnial lovin,
He took a crown of thorns. Hling lukhum chu khumin.

Oh that rugged cross, Aw chu kraws hlun chu,

My salvation, Ka chhandamna,
Where Your love poured out o’er me; Pathian hmangaih luan chhuahna;
Now my soul cries out - Ka thlâ hi zai se -
Hallelujah! Halleluia!
Praise and honour unto Thee. Chawimawi a fak thlâk i ni.

Sent of heaven God's own Son Vân a\angin Pa Fapa

To purchase and redeem, Misual chhandam turin,
And reconcile the very ones Amah khengbettute ngei pawh
Who nailed Him to that tree. A thisenin a tlan.

Now my debt is paid, Ka bat min tlâk sak,

It is paid in full Ka Lalpa’n a pe
By the precious blood, A thisen hlu in,
That my Jesus spilled. Ka sual a thlen fai.

Now the curse of sin Sualin theihna rêng

Has no hold on me; A nei tawh lovang;
Whom the Son sets free Krista zarah chuan
Oh is free indeed. Nunna thar kan nei.

See the stone is rolled away, Thlâna lung a lum bo ta,

Behold the empty tomb; Thlân ruak chu va en r’u;
Hallelujah God be praised, Halleluia, châwimâwi r’u,
He's risen from the grave! Thihna hnehin a tho!
