Chapter 3
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Research Design
This study about the behavioral manifestations during the major transitions
of circadian rhythm of students seeks to find to what happen to their behavior after they
undergo to the changes in their body clock. In order to do so, phenomenological research will
be employed. Serving as the backbone of this study is a types of behavior that student show
while undergoing in the transition of circadian rhythm, as it helps in order to find the different
behavior that students experienced. Because our topic is all about behavior when the
transition occurs. In gathering the relevant data, an interview will be used. A calculated
degree of caution will be taken in making conclusions from our findings, due to the possibility
of denial or denying when we asked something about their behavior so that if ever it will
happen then the whole result is useless and invalid. Overall, the researchers are intending for
this paper to lead to greater of understanding of behavior after the body clock changed.
Because, we are trying to show the different types of behavior showed by the students while
undergoing the transition in their circadian rhythm in order to explain why this behavior
happens and what are the big factors contribute to this, which we are hoping to be the basis
for explain why it’s happen so that the people will understand this cases and they will be
aware about this and explain to the parents, teachers, and people to the society. So that they
can help those people who is undergoing in this kind of situation

Sampling Design
This study hopes to make generalization about the Senior High students in public
schools in terms of their behavior when their sleep is too short and having a load of school
requirement. Though purposive sampling with eight students of SHS in San Nicholas will be
determined to be part of the study. Their response to the questions during the interview will
be consolidated in order to come up with the result that will answer questions about the
behavior of students after the changed in body clock.

Research Instrument
An interview consists of interview questionnaire with 5 questions will be used. And
also using of cellphone recording with consent. A total budget of 1,050 pesos will be allocated
for the production and reproduction of the research instrument and also for the token for our
samples and food for our research panel. The data gathering phase is set on March 9, 2020.
