Valves
A valve is a device that regulates, directs or controls the flow
of a fluid (gases, liquids, fluidized solids, or slurries) by
opening, closing, or partially obstructing various passageways.
Types of Valves
Ball Valve: one-way valve that is opened and closed by
pressure on a ball which fits into a cup-shaped opening.
The price of the ball valve is Rs.300 per piece.

Ball Cocks: a ballcock (also ball tap or float valve) is

a mechanism or machine for filling water tanks, such as those
found in flush toilets, while avoiding overflow and (in the
event of low water pressure) backflow.
The price of the ball cock valve is Rs.400 per piece.

Butterfly Valve: a valve consisting of a rotating circular plate
or a pair of hinged semi-circular plates, attached to a
transverse spindle and mounted inside a pipe in order to
regulate or prevent flow.
The price of this valve is Rs.2300 per piece.

Gate Valve: a gate valve, also known as a sluice valve, is

a valve which opens by lifting a round or rectangular
gate/wedge out of the path of the fluid. The distinct feature of
a gate valve is the sealing surfaces between the gate and seats
are planar, so gate valves are often used when a straight-line
flow of fluid and minimum restriction is desired. The gate
faces can be parallel, but are most commonly wedge-shaped.

Globe Valve: globe valve is a type of valve used for regulating
flow in a pipeline, consisting of a movable disk-type element
and a stationary ring seat in a generally spherical body.
The price of this valve is Rs.2000 per piece.

Stop Valve: valve opened or closed at will (manually) for

preventing or regulating flow (of a liquid in a pipe) is called as
stop valve. Simply a stop valve is any sort of valve type that
completely stops the flow of liquid flow through a pipe.
The prices of this valve is Rs.400 per piece.

Check Valve: check valves are self-activating safety valves
that permit gases and liquids to flow in only one direction.
The purpose of a check valve is to prevent process flow from
reversing in the system which could damage equipment or
upset the process. They are classified as one-way directional
valves. Check valves are commonly found
protecting pumps in liquid applications or compressors in gas
systems where backflow could cause the pump or compressor
to shut down.
The price of this type of valve is Rs.700 per piece.

The size varies from use to use as for residential use the size
ranges from 1 inch valve to 3 inch valve whereas in industrial
areas the size of valves ranges from 1 inch to 12 inches valves.
