Our main objective was to reduce weight of rollcage. It was 47kg last year. This year we
brought it down to 32kg. The major work was done on considering weight per unit
length of chromoly tubes.
Previous year tube dimension was 1 inch OD 3mm thickness which was Over design in
nature. This year we are using 1.15inch OD 1.6mm thickness Chromoly Tubes. Unlike
last year, The driver’s ergonomics is considered apple of our eye while designing.
Innovation Description The unnecessary members is eliminated and well-designed rollcage is fabricated at
lower cost.This reduction in weight enhances the performance of vehicle.

The weight reduction directly enhances the vehicle performance and also it reduces
End Benefit / Expected material cost. The acceleration is improved which adds a star to our vehicle.
