From time to time hotel guests need to find a place and they
need to ask hotel staff for help.

Verbs:
turn left, turn right, go straight ahead, go past, cross
Prepositions of place:
At the corner of, next to, opposite, between
Example of phrases:
- Where is the public toilet?
- Can you give me directions to the nearest shopping mall
- How can I get to the swimming pool?

- Speak slowly so the other person can understand
- Speak slowly so the other person can write down the
instructions if talking on the phone
- Use your hands to demonstrate your explanation (left,right
or straight on)
- Use the word “please” when you are asking someone for
directions. It’s polite and people are most likely to help
you.
