A RESOLUTION TO CONDUCT A SOCIO-POLITICAL AWARENESS FORUM

FOR THE HIGHSCHOOL STUDENTS IN ST. PETERS COLLEGE

WHEREAS, the St. Peters College of Ormoc, now referred herein as SPC is one the prestigious
college in the province of Leyte;

WHEREAS, the St. Peters College of Ormoc Administrators shall develop social awareness
and nationalistic consciousness within the students

WHEREAS, the SPC shall unite with different sectors of the society in the establishment of a
just and humane society;

WHEREAS, the SPC Administrators shall seek and engender educational reforms along
humanistic, nationalistic, and scientific methods for the full development of the human
potential, and to respond to social realities;

WHEREAS, the St. Peters College of Ormoc, being the premiere college of the city of Ormoc ,
shall serve as a prime mover in the development of the youth and the civil society in the city of
Ormoc

WHEREAS, the assembly shall come up with a unified and clear position along with critical
steps to address these different socio-political issues at the local level;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the SPC Administrators shall conduct a socio-political

awareness forum for the students of SPC

RESOLVED FURTHER, The socio-political forum shall conduct a general forum that focuses
timely and relevant socio-political issues wherein it is an avenue for the participants to choose
which different sectors they are interested to constructively engage in.

RESOLVED FURTHER, The socio-politicaql forum shall conduct consultations and sessions
to make the civil society organizations including the youth and the students, understand the
different socio-political issues and their implications for our society.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that the socio-political forum is an event that would be inclusive
activity that is open for the students of SPC and Senior Highschool students are highly
encourage to join.

RESOLVED FURTHER, that the main authors will be lead in organizing the said project

RESOLVED FURTHER, that the SPC Administrators shall look into the proposal and amend
in the need arises, the arrangement on the proposal;

RESOLVED FURTHER, that the SPC Administrator shall commit to perform its tasks, duties
and responsibilities as soon as the administrator approves the proposal;

RESOLVED FINALLY, that the “A RESOLUTION TO CONDUCT A SOCIO-

POLITICAL AWARENESS FORUM FOR THE HUGHSCHOOL STUDENTS IN ST.
PETERS COLLEGE” be approved by the St. Peters College of Ormoc Administrator

A RESOLUTION TO CONDUCT A SOCIO-POLITICAL AWARENESS FORUM

FOR THE HIGHSCHOOL STUDENTS IN ST. PETERS COLLEGE

RATIONALE

Socio-Political Forum aims to develop political and social awareness among the
students of SPC creating advocates through forums, talks, workshops, and online
campaigns. The Forum will now be informing the students of SPC on social issues
through social media its one way for developing social and political consciousness
through both concrete projects and online posts, creating a new generation of youth
advocates is easier than it’s ever been.

O B J E C T I V E S

The Socio-Political Forum shall endeavor the following:

1. To gather student advocates and instill in them the role of the youth in the process of
nation-building

2. To recognize the importance of being socially and politically aware of what is

happening in the society

3. To partake in the crafting of policy and programs in order to address these different
issues.
