Introduction:
A place where people pay to sit and eat meals that are cooked and served on the premises is called
Restaurants.
There are the types of Restaurants:
 Cafeteria.
 Fast-Food.
 Casual Restaurants.
 Fast Casual Dining Restaurants.
 Coffeehouse.
 Pub.
 Bistro & Brassiere.
 Ethnic Restaurants.
 Buffet Restaurants.
 Chain Restaurants.

Main Characteristics of Restaurants:


Cafeteria:
 Food is in a food-serving counter.
 Food is pre-prepared.

Fast-Food:
 Without cutlery or crockery.
 Speed service.
 People eat directly from the disposable container.

Casual Restaurants:
 Casual atmosphere.
 Food are eaten there.

Fast Casual Dining Restaurants:


 Plates and cutlery are usually offered.
 Quality of food.

Coffeehouse:
 Cold food.
 Coffee and other beverages.

Pub:
 Simple food fare.
 Beers.

Bistro & Brassiere:


 Large menu.
 Not fancy.
 Casual dining.
 Single dishes.

Ethnic Restaurants:
 Particular multicultural cuisine.
 Ethnic dishes.

Buffet Restaurants:
 Simple Buffet: Guests get food from a buffet line and waiters move around to clear tables and
help guests with minor requests.
 Station-type buffet: Waiters serve the beverages while guests get the other dishes from the buffet
line.
 Modified deluxe buffet: Tables are set with cutlery; waiters serve the beverages, coffee and
dessert while guests get the other dishes from the buffet line.
 Deluxe buffet: Waiters serve appetizers, soup and or salads and beverages. Guests take the other
dishes from the buffet line.

Restaurants in Dhaka City:


In our country has lots of Restaurants. Not all the restaurants follow the rules and the right way but some
restaurant are to be professional. They are trying to do something new any they always follow to the
rules. There are the eight restaurants I find they are quit professional and they providing standards level of
services. There are the restaurants:

1. The Atrium Restaurant.


2. Bar B Q Tonight Dhaka.
3. Cozy Sizzler Restaurant.
4. Mainland China, Banani.
5. Baton Rouge Restaurant.
6. Burger King.
7. Nando’s.
8. Pizza Hut.

The Atrium Restaurant:


This restaurant is an experience of gastronomic appreciates. It is situated at Bharidhara, Dhaka, with a
distinctive menu of continental and oriental specialty. Chinese food has always enjoyed a cult, following
among gourmets across the world. Now, Thai food is gradually becoming the mainstay of global palates.
It is healthy and the presentation is also enticing. The specialty of this restaurant lies on the delicious
Chinese spread and spice of Thai in its dishes. The roof-top of the restaurant is quite famous amongst the
music lovers. The place seems quite relaxing and has a natural feeling of mild and beautiful environment
itself. The flavorsome food serves as a perfect add on in such laid-back situation.
The ambience is amazing with a beaufully maintained front garden and a miniature lake. The top floor
has comfortable seating arrangements with a large screen TV, good for all the sheesha lovers.

Bar B Q Tonight Dhaka:


Those who are in love with meat on stick Bar-B-Q Tonight is a must visit place for them. This restaurant
is situated in Dhamondi, Dhaka. The smoked, grilled chicken with a cool platter of ‘Kashmiri falooda,
can be the best for a weekend culinary experience. This is a place to relish all the grilled and kebab items,
that you must have to have it again.

Mainland China Banani:

Baton Rouge Restaurant:


This is a multispecialty restaurant with a massive buffet spread of hundred and one items. This is located
in Gulshan Avenue, Dhaka and it has a huge area covering 10,500 sq ft. It offers you with a vast and a
variety in its culinary ride. It has continental, Pan-Asian and a huge spread of starters and deserts in the
menu. The restaurant has conference hall for private or corporate seminars on reservation, a buffet in
dinner and lunch, cocktail receptions, B.B.Q at dinner on request and all kinds of catering also. The
restaurant offers local Bangladeshi food in its gourmet. In a whole, it is the best place if you are looking
for a family get-together or a formal outing.

Burger King is an American multinational chain of hamburger fast food restaurants. Headquartered in the
unincorporated area of Miami-Dade County, Florida, the company was founded in 1953 as Insta-Burger
King, a Jacksonville, Florida–based restaurant chain.

Nando's:
Nando's is a South African restaurant chain that specialises in Portuguese-African food, including its
signature flame-grilled peri-peri style chicken. Founded in Johannesburg in 1987, Nando's operates over
1,000 outlets in 35 countries. Their logo is the famous Portuguese symbol, the Rooster of Barcelos.
Nando's is a South African International Chain Restaurant brought to Bangladesh by MGH Group. The
franchise was brought to Bangladesh in 2007, when the first Nando's was launched in Dhanmondi 27 and
it still remains a piece of art and décor. Nando's is spreading rapidly around the world and currently has
over 1000 restaurants in 24 countries. There are currently four Nando's Flame Grilled PERi-PERi
Chickens Restaurants in Bangladesh. These are located in Dhanmondi, Gulshan 1, Gulshan 2 & Banani.
Everyday Nando’s restaurants in Dhaka serve around 1000 guests their legendary flame grilled PERi-
PERi chicken.

Bangladesh is modern but we have a lot of lack to developing. People of all religions live here, many of
us have to do restaurant business inside the rules. We can't offer all kinds of restaurants if we want to. So
in our country one restaurant has many kinds of services. It goes without saying that the restaurants in our
country do not have the type of restaurant and the classification of restaurants. All the restaurants here are
a mix of restaurant types and restaurant classifications.
