http://wiki.travellerrpg.com/Aaka_(world)
A huge yellow Sun shines from a sky dotted with a few clouds. There is a stiff
breeze. The mornings are warm, the nights are cold, during the day it is hot. The
atmospheric pressure is comparable to earth conditions in an altitude of 3.6 km.
The air is quite dry. Gravity is slightly lower than earth standard. A standard
sized human (80kg) will weigh about 55 kg.
Aaka's sun is a Yellow Star (G6 V). It has a Mass of .917 and a Luminosity of .
882. It's perceived size is 131% SOL. The system has 8 worlds, 2 of which are gas
giants. Aaka circles its sun in Orbit 2.5, at a distance of 104.71 Million
kilometers, one year has a duration of 155.01 planetary days of 34.58 hours, each.
The planetary axis is tilted 1. The majority of Aaka's surface is covered by land,
with the exception of 6 major Oceans, 10 minor Oceans, 6 scattered Lakes.
Aaka has a population of 2583 sentients. The world has no Government Structure.
Family bonds predominate. Several councils, wether equal in power or ranked
according to system, each exercise influence over the government. The authority is
divided in 2-ways. The Executive and Judicial branches are the representative
authorities, Legislative is secondary.
No laws at all, there is an effective state of anarchy. The Weapons law level is
very low. Allowed are Acid, Fire, Gas, Energy, Shock, EMP, Rad, Mag, Grav,
Automatic weapons, Pistols, as well as open carrying. The Criminal Law level is
very low, only capital crimes and assault and grand theft will be prosecuted.
No laws regulating trade are in existence. There is no civil law level that
governs the conduct of the citzens with one another. To get things going, a bribe
at the right place can be helpful. The government does nothing to impact the
personal freedom of its citizens.
Aaka has 2 small Cities with thousands of Inhabitants, 2 Outposts with hundreds of
Inhabitants.
STARPORT TYPE E
The port has substandard facilities and services. The port consists of spaces for
several small starships to set down, with one area large enough for a starship of
up to 1,000 dtons, to put down without undue risk. The ports headquarters building
is an office module from a modular cutter. The office operates the landing lights
and approach beacon, handles the standard paperwork on transient vessels, stores
cargo of Imperial concern (mail, mostly), and provides a place for passengers to
wait out of the rain or vacuum. There are no facilities for fueling or routine
servicing of ships. Directions will be provided to the nearest habitation, along
with advice on local customs, law levels, and anything else likely to keep the
visitor out of trouble. Each year 764 passengers are handled and 27370 tons of
cargo shipped. A typical Backwater. Meeting another ship is a lucky event. There
are about 6 Type A1 (200t) arrivals each week.
The port is secured with a single fence. The gate is always open. The whole port
measures .5 by .5 km.
The following trade goods are usually available : Big amounts (+4) of Liquor,
Grain, Canned food. Supple amounts (+3) of Wood, Meat, Spices, Fruit. Above average
