SI (weight/tonnes) Customary (weight/tons)

1 1,1
2 2,2
20 22,0
Note:
1 tonne = 1 000 kg, 1 ton = 2 000 lbs

8. Under the heaviest maintenance section, the name of the heaviest individual
maintainable component on the equipment item, a description of the component’s
function and dry weight.

8 Weighing

8.1 General
a. At least 10 working days notice shall be provided for the weighing date, time and location.
Company may witness the weighing operation.
b. Weighing procedure shall be submitted either in conformance to the SDRL, or a minimum
of 30 days before the planned weighing date, whichever is earliest.
c. Weighing procedure shall include:
1. A description of the weighing equipment that includes capacity and accuracy.

3. A minimum of 3 measurements of weights that give consistent results. The average of
the 3 measurements of weights shall be the “weighed weight”.
4. Methods to be used for weighing, measuring and calculating centre of gravity
including temporary lifting and supporting equipment used.
5. Weighing certificates to document the weighing, including for example:
a) Measuring equipment serial numbers.

 Page6of15 GPO-EN-SPE-01004
  11November2013
SpecificationforSupplierWeightControl

b) All measured data including centres of gravity.
