Farewell

1
Introducing our 2020-2021
Service Year E-board:

President:

Alyssa Pilch (Class of 2022) is a cell biology and neuroscience major

with a minor in psychology.

“I'm excited to look for and engage in some fun new service projects
that we haven’t tried before. Doing these service projects together as
a team will make them all the more exciting! I am also really looking
forward to bonding with everyone and growing our CKI family.

Fun fact: “I love to sing. I will sing literally anywhere (even on a

crowded Rutgers bus) and may not even realize I'm doing it.”

Vice President:

Athmika Vaseeharan (Class of 2021) is a biological sciences major.

“I'm excited to expand our Rutgers Circle K family and participate in

new service projects within the New Brunswick community.”

Fun Fact: “When I visited Australia, I climbed the Sydney Harbor

Bridge.”

Secretary:

Bhargavi Katta (Class of 2023) is a genetics major.

“I'm excited for DCON because I really want to see other Circle K
members and what Circle K is on a larger scale.”

Fun Fact: “I failed my drivers test the first time because I couldn’t
parallel park!”

Introducing our 2020-2021
Service Year E-board:

Treasurer:

Ian Leonhardt (Class of 2022) is a microbiology and biochemistry

major.

“I’m excited to add new members to fuel existing and future service
projects. Rutgers has an enormous community and an incredible po-
tential to grow Circle K service opportunities. Right now, regions all
across New Jersey need help, and the most helpful thing people can do
outside donations is to give their time. “

Fun fact: “I love to play basketball. Catch me at Livingston gym.”

Editor:

Jennifer Buritica-Lopez (Class of 2023) is a journalism and film studies

major with a minor in spanish and digital communication/information.

“I'm excited to grow with my Circle K family and make a positive

impact on my community and the world around me.”

Fun Fact: I know the lyrics to every song in Mulan.

DCON February 2020

Members of Rutgers CKI attended New Jersey’ CKI’s

56th annual District Convention.

An annual gathering of CKI members across the district

to celebrate service year accomplishments, engage in
fellowship and projects, and elect the coming year’s
District Board!

This years theme was roaring 20s and everyone in

attendance had a roaring time!

Quarantine can’t stop our Service!
Our members...

- transcribed letters from those in

prison as part of a conjoined effort to
help those behind bars share their
voices and stories!

- sifted through pictures and

documents to help research
and expose human rights
violations around the world.

- raised money for the World Food

Programme (WEP) through an
interactive questionnaire. All WEP
proceeds go to where children and
their families’ needs are greatest.

- and hosted a mental health workshop for

various CKI chapters where we doodled and
destressed. Our first round saw everyone
working together to draw a single animal.
Talk about cooperation!
