THE =ACT= MOHPA CUP
Here it is troops, the long awaited =ACT= MOHPA CUP.

You may well ask yourselves what this is all about. Well firstly it will increase your interest in MOHPA .Secondly it is
going to pit your skills and your platoons skills against the rest of the troops within the clan. Thirdly it is going to enable
you to work within a team which will stand you in good stead for CLAN matches. Fourthly and most importantly it will
give you BRAGGING RITES of all those that are too pathetic to have beaten you, this in itself is worth its weight in gold.

In order for this league to succeed it will require you to attend the match dates which will be organised by either your CO
or XO.

There are all rules for engagement within this epic contest which are going to be laid out before you. These are not
subject to change or interpretation by anyone, and in the event a problem, discrepancy, infringement or breach of the
rules arise then this must be lodged in writing to any member of the =ACT= COUNCIL within 24 hours of the MATCH
taking place. To which an adjudication will take place on the facts presented, once a decision has been made by the
=ACT=COUNCIL this will be final and no appeal will take place.

THE RULES

1. Each platoon must agree to the number of players required for the match to take place but a minimum of 6 players
must attend in order for the match to be held.

2. In the event that a platoon fails to have the minimum number of players required on that date they may call upon any
member of the =ACT=COUNCIL to stand in for the missing member. This will be known as a wild card.

3. The Wild Card can only be used a maximum of 4 times throughout the entire season so use it wisely.

4. The CO/XO are required to fight each platoon a minimum of three times within a three month period. Therefore the
total numbers of battles to take place will be a minimum of six.

5. Each Battle will be divided into 4 cups which will be known as THE WINTER CUP, THE SPRING CUP, THE
SUMMER CUP and THE FALL CUP.

6. In the event a platoon completes the grand slam then =ACT= COUNCIL will as a reward for outstanding play give
each member of the winning platoon an item of COMPUTER HARDWARE to the value of $50.

7. In order to qualify for this reward you must have played in a minimum of 20 matches. So it is your best interest to play
well and be selected by your CO/XO.

8. The Points for each battle are going to be as follows;


1a. Most Helpful = 1 point
2a. Most Valuable = 1 point
3a. Most Accurate = 2 points
4a. Most Lethal = 2 points
5a. Wipe out your oppositions spawn pool = 5 points
6a. ATTACKING – Complete all the objectives = 10 points
7a. DEFENDING – Stop the objectives being taken = 10 points

If you are the defending team and you do not allow a single objective to be taken the bonus of 5 points will be awarded
to you for wiping out the enemies spawn pool.
The reason being as the attacking side you would have played exceptionally poorly for this to have occurred.

As you can see there are also some tactics that will take place i.e. you are the last soldier left on the defending team it
would be in the best interests of the attacking team not to kill you as this would cost them 5 points. Because of this any
suicide will result in an automatic win and the 10 points going to the attacking team. Which also means is careful where
you place your mines.

9. Each map will have a time limit of 20 minutes

10. A maximum of 2 maps per match with each platoon taking turns in attacking and defending.

11. CO/XO of each platoon must agree upon the maps selected

12. Only 1 each class is allowed the rest of the platoon have to be foot soldiers

13. All matches will take place on our new private server with the NEW MAP MODIFICATIONS (If possible)
14. A screen shot of each round is required to substantiate the result. This must be posted in the forum marked
=ACT= CUP RESULTS. (The platoon that issues the challenge is responsible for this. Failure to post the result will
result in an automatic win for the opposing team.)

ALL GAME AND SERVER PARAMETERS WILL BE SET BY A MEMBER OF THE =ACT = COUNCIL.
SO IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CO/XO TO NOTIFY THE =ACT= COUNCIL OF A
SCHEDULED MATCH.

IN THE EVENT OF A TIE ON POINTS AT THE END OF THE RESPECTIVE CUP A SUDDEN DEATH
PLAYOFF WILL TAKE PLACE. WHICH A MEMBER OF THE =ACT=COUNCIL WILL SELECT THE
MAP. THE SIDES WILL BE DONE ON A COIN TOSS BY THE ADJUDICATING =ACT=COUNCIL
MEMBER.

ALL DECISIONS MADE BY THE =ACT= COUNCIL ARE FINAL AND NO DECISION CAN BE
APPEALED OR QUESTIONED.

THE =ACT= BF2 CUP
Well troops after a lot of meetings the =ACT= COUNCL has decide in the interests of the clan that a new
INTER CLAN competition is going to start in the New Year. The main reason being is that after all that
Christmas grub you would have all put on those extra pounds so you need to get back into shape.

Also the =ACT= COUNCIL felt that it would benefit those players who do not play in the TWL ladder
matches to experience the thrill of a competitive match environment.

So to this end and to your enjoyment let battle commence.

1. Each platoon must agree to the number of players required for the match to take place but a minimum
of 6 players must attend in order for the match to be held.

2. In the event that a platoon fails to have the minimum number of players required on that date they may
call upon any member of the =ACT=COUNCIL to stand in for the missing member. This will be known as
a wild card.

11. The password will be set by a member of the =ACT=COUNCIL and they will notify the CO/XO of that
password.

12. A time limit of 25 minutes per map will be enforced.

13. NO ARTILLERY IS ALLOWED but any other commander function is acceptable. (In the event artillery
is used an instant forfeit of the match will occur),

14. NO PLANES ARE ALLOWED. (As all maps are on based on 16 player map sizes the only map this
effects is Operation Clean Sweep) Attack Helicopters are permitted.

15. A screen shot of each round is required to substantiate the result. This must be posted in the forum
marked =ACT= CUP RESULTS. (The platoon that issues the challenge is responsible for this. Failure to
post the result will result in an automatic win for the opposing team.)

THE POINTS SYSTEM – ALL POINTS ARE BASED PER ROUND

A. 10 points for the Win.


B. 3 points for best Teamwork.
C. 3 points for best Combat
D. 2 points for most Flags Captured
E. 2 points for most Flags Defended
F. 5 points for a Ticket Ratio spread greater than 50.

Well troops after a lot of deliberating the Battlefield 2 Company has gone through a shake up. The reason is so that in
the interests of fair play and to give our M.A.S.H units a rest, the =ACT=COUNCIL has drawn up a new BF2
Company with new Platoon and Squad assignments. Please read through them carefully to make sure you have been
drafted.

In the event your name is not assigned to a platoon please let a member of the =ACT=COUNCIL know as soon as
possible, failure do so will be seen as you trying to worm out of active duty, which in turn will leave us with no choice
but to have you flogged publicly.

Team Wafare League For BF2
As some of you may have heard, =ACT=’s Battlefield 2 Company has signed up for participation in the TWL 8 vs. 8
and 5 vs. 5 Ladder matches.

How do I register?
Easy, Click here this is the official TWL website.
You will need to complete the following:
A. Register your Screen name, using your =ACT= tag. You will need your Punk buster PID to complete the
registration. Instructions on how to obtain your punk buster ID can be found here.
B. Sign up for the =ACT= TWL team. Once your screen name has been registered with the TWL site, you will
need to join the team. Click on Search, by team tag, and of course =ACT=. Once you find our team click on
join. It will ask if you want to join the 5vs.5 or 8vs.8 ladder.

Once you have completed registration you will need to check the forum often for updates on matches and practices.
Once a match has been scheduled, it will be posted on the appropriate thread in the Battlefield 2 section. At that point
we would of course love to have a headcount, people schedules are different so we of course understand it might take
some time to see if you’re available. But if you do sign up for a match, you will be counted on, don’t disappoint your
teammates.
Matches will be rough, there are defiantly some good teams that are currently competing on the ladders, but we will
take it too them. So sign up, and join the fight!

The Press Corps is looking for a few good men/women to help out with the =ACT= POST. You will be
required to have good journalistic skills and be willing to offer a couple hours of work per month.

Reserve Volunteers:
So you do not always have the time, but you still want to help. Contact your Superior Officer and offer your
services. Being in the good grace of a Superior Officer sure can't hurt your chance for that next promotion!

Graphic Designer:
The =ACT=COUNCIL is looking for some help in the area of graphic design. Since many of you have
experience in this field, a test assignement will be issued. The winner will offererd the official post of

TeamSpeak
Since the dawn of man (only on the basis that Adam was before Eve) the greatest asset that set
him apart from animals was the ability to communicate, and because of this the ability to wage
war in an effective way was born. So we follow on in this great tradition of war making and give
you the ability to wage war on your enemies in an effective way with Team Speak.

Team Speak is a great tool for a number of reasons.

Firstly can you remember the days of sitting at your computer in total silence? The
=ACT=COUNCIL know from personal experience that this is ma lonely existence.

Secondly Team Speak is a great system for making new friends. We at the =ACT=COUNCIL
have seen a great many of you bond together over time and on the very few occasions that team
speak has not been available to you we were flooded with e mails and x fire messages pleading us
with us to get it back online a soon as possible.

Thirdly Team Speak is virtually the only way you can be a fighting force to be reckoned with.
With the ability to give vital information on the enemy i.e. reporting where the last of your enemy
is hiding. It also is the only way you can participate in clan matches.

So with all this being said there are a number of issues that we at the =ACT=COUNCIL would
like to raise namely why do some of you play on your servers with other =ACT= members and
choose not to be on team speak.

We can only assume it is because of the current level of BAD LANGUAGE that is being branded
about on the channels.

It has been said that if you need to swear continually it is a direct result of having a limited
vocabulary which we are sure that our members are not deficient in. So we implore you to keep
the swearing down to a minimum. In the event of sustained bad language being used you will be
muted by those select few that will be given Channel Admin Rights by the =ACT=COUNCIL. So
you have now been warned.

We hope this will encourage those of you who have stayed away from team speak because of this
reason to comeback and join in the fun and be active once again on team speak. If any of you
have any issues you wish to raise about Team Speak then please feel free to put that in writing to
the =ACT=COUNCIL and we will do our best to help.

Hi all =ACT= troops, hope you have all been enjoying yourselves that your current campaigns are running smoothly and
that the battles are going well.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!


The current war effort is costing a lot more than we first thought and in order to keep supplying ALL OF YOU it is
taking a great strain on the war chest.

In order to replenish the coffers WE NEED YOU TO DIG DEEP and help us to keep the war machine running.

All we require from you is a small $8 A MONTH CONTRIBUTION (minimum donation).


In order to keep track we only need you to make this effort once a month so do what you can and feel free to donate
more.

These funds will go towards the current servers that you are using, team speak that we all enjoy using and also our
website.
It will also allow us to expand to other game titles and events.

We want to be the best and with your kind help and continued support we can.

SO GET DONATING NOW EVERY LITTLE HELPS.

As you can see we have had this letter posted in the forums for some time now and still our donations side of the Clan
falls dreadfully short to the point where out of nearly 200 members only about 2% of the membership outside the
=ACT= COUNCIL actually donate.

We at the =ACT= COUNCIL would firstly like to say that we are NOT trying to make any money out of this CLAN in
fact quiet the opposite, what we would love to be able to do and only with your help, is the current contributions that we
are making divert these recourses into other wars so that the members will be able to try there skills out in other
campaigns.

As previously stated the =ACT= Council wants to keep away from subscriptions because we are aware that everyone
is in different financial positions.
However the contribution level we are asking for is less than 27 CENTS a day and it has been said that if your internet
provider put their charges up by this amount you would all be able to find the money.
So to a certain extent we are also a provider giving you the ability to go war with your buddies in varying campaigns.

There are not many clans out there than can boast this kind of support and yet we still want to expand. There are a lot
of wars beginning to develop for 2006 that we want to be able to take part in so this is why we need your help.

The =ACT= COUNCIL have always felt that it was not right to mention this until the clan had some kind of structure.
WELL NOW IT DOES with the inclusion of many exciting things such as the Medals, Ribbons , Badges the
MOHPA CUP, TWL and WORLD TOURNAMENT for BF2 the =ACT= POST the list goes on.

So with these things the =ACT=COUNCIL will be creating donations officers from each squad in all our campaigns to
help raise the funds for the coming battles. Details of which will be released in our January edition

Remember we want you to be proud to be an =ACT= Member we want to be the biggest and more importantly the
BEST. So lets all work together to get to that goal.

The =ACT=COUNCIL does understand that if you cant donate then no one will judge you or think anything less of you
and it will not effect your career prospects as it is also said that donations come in other forms such as personal time in
civilian duties.

So on that note we leave you with this thought. Next year will dawn a new era for =ACT= with plenty of blood shed
and many glorious victories. So let’s show the rest of the gaming world we are the BEST.

How to: Awards and Commendations
Since the inception of the new Medals, Badges and Ribbons the troops have been silent. So this article has been produced to
explain what to do and how to do it.

If you see a fellow soldier has met the criteria required (under either match, inter clan or battle practice conditions) relating to
a certain award then all you need do is go to the website www.actclan.org and send a personal message or e mail to either the
Squad Leader or XO/CO of your platoon. In this message you should state the event that took place, the condition it was
under and the award that you think that soldier is worthy of. (You must state the award befitting the task. If you are unsure
ask a Superior Officer).

You are also required to be able to call upon a witness to substantiate the claim so please list the name and rank of your
second.

Once this is done then your recommendation will be processed.

In certain circumstances certain awards can only be achieved by time served or goals met in this situation the
=ACT=COUNCIL will automatically make the award.

Awards and Commendations will be announced by the first Sunday of each month and will also be published in the =ACT=
POST. Make sure that all nominations for Promotions, Medals, Ribbons and Badges have been submitted to your Squad
Leader in writing in the new forum section no later than the 15th of the month. If a soldier is recommended for anything
after the 15th of that month such recommendation will not come under review until the following month. Squad Leaders/Drill
Instructors must pass the relevant information to their Platoon XO’s/CO’s by the 20th of the month. All Platoon XO’s/CO’s
must then shortlist all candidates no later than the 25th of the same month and in turn have passed the relevant information
onto the =ACT=COUNCIL by said date.

If the deadline is not met, the soldiers conserned will be passed over for that month review.

Reminder to all:

All soldiers can recommend any other soldier for a Promotion, Medal, Ribbons and Badges. Also a soldier can only be
recommended for no more than 2 awards in a single month. In the event that the soldier has been recommended for more
than that the lesser grade award will be discounted.

Reminder to Squad Leaders:

All recommendations must be substantiated when they are submited to you. This must include the reason as to why that
particular soldier is worthy of an award and/or promotion. If you deam the claim worthy, it must then be passed through
your Platoon XO’s/CO’s via a written request.

Reminder to Platoons XO's/CO's:

All recommendations must be substantiated when they are submitted to you. This must include the reason as to why that
particular soldier is worthy of an award and/or promotion. If you feel that the claim and reason is good enough and that all
criteria have been met, you will in turn pass this to the =ACT= COUNCIL for final approval. The =ACT= COUNCIL cannot
stress enough the importance of the criteria being fufilled for the nomination.

The =ACT= COUNCIL will take all things into consideration and pass judgement. This does not mean that the selected soldier
will obtain the award.

All decision made the =ACT=COUNCIL are final and no appeals will be heard.
