The ideal city of Colombia to visit on my next vacations is Cartagena

 Paragraph 1: Location and weather of the city

Cartagena de Indias is the capital of the department of Bolívar on the shores of the

Caribbean Sea, north of Colombia. It is located in a coastal area is made up of geological

processes related to the sea. Among the most important geographical elements of the city

are the insular formations of Barú and Tierrabomba along with other smaller islands, the

archipelago of Rosario, the bay of Cartagena de Indias, the bay of Barbacoas, and coastal

lagoons such as the swamp of Tesca. The city has a warm weather, an average annual

temperature of 29 ° C. the sun is present every day which allows us to appreciate a stay on

the beach, sometimes the tide is high for one or two weeks, but has the advantage that it is

never touched by hurricanes that affect other Caribbean capitals.

 Paragraph 2: Description of the city

The Spanish architectural heritage and the neoclassical style is reflected in Cartagena as

one of the most beautiful cities of the new world. The Old City is surrounded by bastions

and is better known as the walled city. The fact of being considered a World Heritage Site

by Unesco strengthened it as a tourist power in the region due to its natural attractions and

rich history.

 Paragraph 3: Activities to do in the city

Cartagena is a magical place, to explore and know thoroughly. The city has within its main

destinations historical places such as the Castle of San Felipe, the Palace of the Inquisition,

the Clock Tower, the walls, the colonial streets, and also natural beauties such as the

beaches of La Boquilla, Bocagrande, Castillo Grande and the nearby islands of Rosario and

Barú. Another thing you should do in this city is to try the varied gastronomy, which offers

dishes such as empanada con huevo, carimañola, shrimp cocktail among other seafood.

 Paragraph 4: Positive and negative aspects of the city

No doubt Cartagena is a beautiful city with more things in favor than against, within its

positive aspects we must highlight its tourist sites as historic center, full of colonial houses,

its imposing walls, the Bolivar park among others, ideal to give a walk, on the other hand

the only thing that I do not like too much is the large number of street vendors that fill the

beaches with products and services in a disorderly and a little invasive way.

Conclusión

With the development of these activities they help us to understand compound

adjectives, modal verbs, future tense, prepositions and composed verbs. This is to

be applied when speaking English with other people. (Estefania Basabe).

Understand and identify the modal verbs, also know the different experiences that

people have had visiting the different places of Colombia.(Yuly Alejandra).

I believe that with the passage of time, the English language has become the most

spoken language in the world and, therefore, has become a very important second

language.(Dilce Arias)

Phrasal Verbs are verbs accompanied by an adverb (phrasal verb) modifying the

meaning of the verb they accompany. The meaning of these composite verbs can be

very different from what we could infer from the individual meaning of the verb and

preposition (or adverb) of which it is composed. We must also bear in mind that the

same phrasal verb can have several meanings.(Sonia Barrera).
