WHY DO WE NEED TO STUDY ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE?

As stated in our previous discussion, Environmental Science refers to study of the interactions among
physical, chemical, and biological components of the environment. Studying the subject will help
students more to be aware about environmental and societal issues the world is facing these days.
There are a lot of things happening in the world without any single person knowing. This will give each
and every student the knowledge and information about these matters that they will be needing. They
will not be empty-headed regarding these issues and they will have the chance to help and make
awareness. Giving time to study for the subject and caring for our environment are vital these days. We
should not be just sitting pretty like it would not affect us. The deforestation, global warming, climate
change, over population, and other catastrophes have direct impact to humans. We will experience
some difficulties in living as well as in other aspects mainly in livelihood. We defend our life in
environment. We cannot live without it. The air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we eat, and
everything that concerns with our life are all fundamental for us to survive. Without it, we cannot
survive life.

Environment is where we live. This is the place where we move and interact with other living creatures.
All that have life can found in it because that is where habitats located. Having the subject about caring
and preserving our own place is quite beneficial to everyone. It will benefit both parties for that
students will have knowledge about certain issues and the environment will have the chance to be
preserved and cared for by the hands of younger generations. According to Dogra (2019), people need
to be informed, educated and influenced to bring them to the path of Environmental Sustainability. If
they will be equipped on how to preserve environment, the environment itself will benefit big time.
Also, everyone including the future generations will have the chance for a quality environment in
succeeding years.
