EMERGING TECHNOLOGY

Excluder Sub
Product No. 150-64

DESCRIPTION/APPLICATION
The Excluder Sub is a tool which is placed below the ML
whipstock for debris control purposes.

OPERATION:
The Excluder Sub is placed in the string assembly below the
whipstock. One excluder is placed directly below the whipstock
to prevent debris falling down between the ML drilling anchor
and ML packer during milling and washover operations. A
second excluder is placed directly above the ML drilling anchor
and below the emergency shear type disconnect. This forms a
secondary back-up barrier to prevent any residual debris falling
down during the washover and retrieval run of the ML whip-
stock.

FEATURES/BENEFITS:
• Debris barrier prevents debris from passing past the whip-
stock into the area between the anchor and packer bore,
reducing the risk of a stuck drilling anchor
• It can be run as a debris barrier on various ML assemblies
