Intro

Ipoh, in the state of Perak, is one of the less explored cities in the region despite having a huge
number of interesting attractions to offer visitors. Ipoh is known in Malaysia for its old town
where you can discover a wealth of interesting history as well as its gorgeous street murals and
museums.

Ipoh's location between Kuala Lumpur and George Town has made it a major land transportation

hub within West Malaysia, with both the Malayan Railway's West Coast Line and the North-South
Expressway cutting through the city

Firstly. How to go to Ipoh.

 Bus
 Car
 Train
 Flight

Thirdly, Place to visit

 Lost world of tambun
 if you are travelling with a family then the Lost World of Tambun is a great pick on a visit
to Ipoh.
 This theme park is known as one of the biggest and best attractions in the area and you
will find a vast complex that has a range of interesting sections.
 Some of these include a tiger valley as well as a water park, and if you love animals you
can also visit the Lost World Petting Zoo or the Lost World Hot Springs.
 In addition to all these attractions you will also find the main theme park itself which has
a range of rides for all different age groups.
 If you want to stay a little longer at the Lost World of Tambun then there is also a resort
here

 Memory lane @loken

Memory Lane is the name of a famous flea market in Ipoh which is located on Jalan Lim Bo
Seng.

The market pops up every Sunday and starts in the morning and you will find a huge number of
goods here including local antiques as well as souvenirs and gifts.

Haggling is expected in the market so don’t be afraid to bargain and this is a wonderful stop off
in you are in town at the right time and want a memento of your trip to Ipoh.

Also known as Memory Lane Ipoh. Also known as Pasar Karat Memory Lane. Starts early on
Sunday morning, ends early. 7am-12pm.

This is probably the best flea market I’ve attended in Malaysia, so far. None of those flea
market-but-actually-tudung-market. People actually sell good junk treasures.

 Ipoh Town Hall and Old Post Office

Clearly influenced by the British’s colonization in the early 1900s, this Victorian stronghold and
its integrity have held its existence since its inception. Take a step into the compound and it
seems as though you’ve transported to a time when history was being birthed at this very spot.

 Sam Poh Tong Cave Temple

Sam Poh Tong is a very beautiful and famous cave temple located in Gunung Rapat. The
Chinese Buddhist Temple was discovered in 1912 in a limestone hill.
In 1993, this temple was awarded “Best Landscaped Garden” in Malaysia. There’s a variety of
landscape garden with Japanese stone lanterns and pagodas, fish ponds that you can feed
tortoise, and even a vegetarian restaurant outside the temple.

Secondly , what the best in Ipoh is the FOOOD!

1) Hollywood restaurant

It is uncommon in the first place, to find traditional chinese cuisines that are Halal. Yong
Tau Foo, Chee cheong fun, and even traditional Muslim food, variety is the name of the
game here.
2) Nasi Ganja

Nasi Kandar Ayam Merah should be on your MUST TRY list. It is not only one of the
most popular eateries in Ipoh but also the only notable Nasi Kandar in town.

While the official name of the restaurant is Nasi Kandar Ayam Merah, the locals
nicknamed it “Nasi Ganja” due to its addictiveness. Despite the nickname, fret not as
there are no marijuana used in any of the ingredients.

Ipoh Hainan ciken rice

3) Kotiaw Kicap
