01 Type of Shot: Long-shot

Time: 00:00 – 00:10

Description:
The shot is panning across a field, and stops where a man (later man in chair) is
relaxing sat down with a girl. The protagonist catches their attention off camera, and
he steps on camera, pistol whipping the man, and then shooting the girl.

02 Type of Shot:

Time: 00:10 – 00:15

Description:
The noise of the gunshot triggers the screen to go black instantly. It
remains black for a couple of seconds, before the title appears on
screen, accompanied by the sound of classical music.
03 Type of Shot: Close-up

Time: 00:15 – 00:18

Description:
The shot then switches back to the scene and focuses on the feet of
the man as he’s dragged away, over several different scenes (grass,
tarmac, and into a car).
04 Type of Shot:

Time: 00:18 – 00:22

Description:
The shot fades in to the man’s perspective, with things blurring in an out as
the countryside passes by the car window. It pans slightly to try and see the
driver, but his view fades before he can (camera drifting off slightly).
05 Type of Shot: Close-up

Time: 00:22 – 00:25

Description:
The shot focuses on the man’s face as he’s dragged out of the car
and through a door, being held under the arms by the killer.

06 Type of Shot: Mid-shot

Time: 00:25 – 00:29

Description:
The shot then focuses on the man in the chair, but from the perspective of
the killer, with him unrolling cling film over the position of the man on the
camera. There are a couple of shots of things being covered by cling, like
the walls, and a table.

07 Type of Shot: Close-up

Time: 00:29 – 00:34

Description:
The shot focuses again on the face of the man as he shakes his head
groggily, and is now sat in a chair with cling film being wrapped
around him, and a gag in his mouth.
08 Type of Shot:

Time: 00:34 – 00:38

Description:
The shot is again like 03, this time groggily watching as the
protagonist is seen from behind as he leaves the room and slams the
door behind him.
09 Type of Shot: Title shot

Time: 00:38 – 00:43

Description:
As the door slams, a couple more credits show up on screen
(directors) shown on screen, before fading away fairly quickly and
the next shot comes in.
10 Type of Shot: Mid-shot

Time: 00:43 – 00:48

Description:
The shot is of the door to the room opening from the outside, and the
protagonist steps in, before the camera focuses slightly on the background
– a series of photographs, or a television with a series of photos being
shown.
11 Type of Shot: Close-up

Time: 00:48 – 00:51

Description:
The shot is focused on a bottle of pills on the table, on which
Flunitrazepam is seen, before it is snatched up quickly by the
protagonist.
12 Type of Shot: Mid-shot

Time: 00:51 – 00:56

Description:
The shot is now behind the protagonist as he stands in front of the man in
the chair, doing something to him that’s making him struggle a lot in his
chair, before his activity dies down and becomes more submissive.

13 Type of Shot: Close-up

Time: 00:56 – 01:00

Description:
The shot is of the protagonist’s feet as he moves away, slowly
moving upwards to the horizontal mirror below the television as he
picks up a knife, and it linger on the mirror and the man’s suit.
14 Type of Shot:

Time: 01:00 – 01:10

Description:
The shot is now at the feet of both of the protagonist and the man in the
chair, as the man begins to scream into his gag and is killed just off camera,
with blood pouring down over his clothes. He then walks off camera.
15 Type of Shot: Close-up

Time: 01:10 – 01:20

Description:
The shot is of the television, as it cycles through the various pictures,
including a picture of the man in the chair. In the background you can hear
the sound of the killer leaving, washing his hands, and returning.
16 Type of Shot: Close-up

Time: 01:20 – 01:24

Description:
The shot is again of the “tools” of the man, as it pans over a series of
rudimentary kitchen objects before stopping and panning back (following
his hand) to a pizza cutter - he picks it up, along with a tray.
17 Type of Shot: Close-up

Time: 01:24 – 01:33

Description:
The tray is placed on the floor by the man in the chair, as you hear
him being slowly cut up in the background, a leg is placed onto the
tray (see special effects notes on blog).
18 Type of Shot: Mid-shot

Time: 01:33 – 01:37

Description:
The shot is now of the empty chair, with cling film still wrapped
around it, but the tray is gone and in the background through a well-
lit door you can hear the man putting the parts into a bag.

19 Type of Shot: Close-up

Time: 01:37 – 01:45

Description:
The man returns, picking up a stray leg off the floor and putting it into the
bag, then he ties the bag and steps over to the counter where the “tools”
are, where he neatly folds them up into a towel and to the side.
20 Type of Shot: Close-up

Time: 01:45 – 01:50

Description:
The shot is now of the character’s hands as he puts on a pair of
gloves and pockets the bottle of pills, before following the hands to a
stereo as he turns it off, and the classical music ends with it.
21 Type of Shot: Close-up

Time: 01:50 – 01:54

Description:
The shot starts with the protagonist’s feet coming onto the floor
outside the room, dragging a bin-bag behind him, before the feet go
off camera.
22 Type of Shot: Close-up

Time: 01:54 - 01:59

Description:
The shot is now of the empty room, with nothing but cling film and
blood covering the walls. A slow droning increases in volume as a car
pulls away in the background before getting to its peak and…
23 Type of Shot: Close-up

Time: 01:59 – 2:01

Description:
Ding! The sound of a microwave breaks the tension and the shot is
focused on the microwave door as the main character opens it, with
people speaking in the background.
24 Type of Shot: Mid-shot

Time: 2:01 – 2:05

Description:
The shot pans over from the microwave to the right, and you can see
the room used previously but in it’s now much cleaner state, with
people hanging out in the room. This will mirror either 22 or 18.
