ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT

STARTING A VEHICLE WITH AN EXTERNAL STARTING AID

- Connect the charger with the master switch off


- After starting let the engine run at a speed of around 1300 rpm for at least 5 minutes
- Switch the low beam headlights on before returning the engine to idle
- Leave to run for 1 minute before disconnecting the charger.

WELDING ON THE VEHICLE

- The vehicle is fitted with numerous electronic boxes.


Before performing any electric welding operation :
- Disconnect and reconnect the battery + and - cables, with the master switch on (current)
- Disconnect all the electronic boxes
- Place the earth clamp as close as possible to the weld point but never on a rotating assembly.
Protect or remove any plastic pipes and electrical cables near the weld site.
