Evidencia 2: Workshop “Products and services”

La lectura es una de las habilidades más utilizadas en el mundo, pero a la vez es la

menos motivante, dado que en ocasiones hay textos muy extensos y con vocabulario
complejo que dificulta su comprensión y le resta interés al texto; afortunadamente
existen nuevos métodos que facilitan obtener la información necesaria y con ello
aumentar el léxico personal.

En este orden de ideas y con la finalidad de cumplir con el propósito de esta evidencia,
consulte el material complementario denominado Integration of products and
services.

Luego de esta consulta, resuelva el siguiente taller sobre comprensión lectora:

1. Find the main idea of paragraphs 1, 2, 9, 10, 11, and 12, and write them in a
paragraph.

The central idea of these paragraphs is to indicate how the business world advances
in an accelerated way thanks to the innovation and technological advances that
applied to these provide better prepared companies and superior to the competition.
Thanks to this report we can show how the countries are leading the world business
thanks to their aspiration to include new technologies to minimized times and
maximize profits

2. Write a summary of ten lines from the text.

The text deals with the innovation of companies through technology more precisely of
the European Union. It tells us how they are trying to have an interconnected
economy, that is, to make the most of the technological means and innovation
projects that companies have to be potentially more productive and agile when
providing a service or selling. Take as an example companies that have evolved in
their products such as the automotive that maybe in a few years the cars are like an
office with everything very tailored to its consumer to provide comfort and everything
you need in a single product. This demonstrates the power that nations reach by
having large technological projects that allow growth and productivity in their
economies.
3. Choose a paragraph and translate it with your own words.
Chosen paragraph:
From Static to Interactive
The fusion of product and service markets will continue to have a profound impact.
The world economy will move from static products and services to smart and
interactive ones. This means that new ways need to be explored with respect to the
design and labelling of products. Products are becoming ‘smarter’, more capable of
autonomously addressing and responding to evolving consumers’ needs. ‘Smart’
coffee machines, for example, have built-in sensors that automatically signal to the
local brand store the need for repair. The user therefore does not only purchase a
product – a coffee machine – but also a service, the promise of maintenance
whenever necessary.

De lo estático a lo interactivo
La fusión de mercados en productos y servicios continuara teniendo un impacto
profundo. La economía mundial de productos y servicios se moverá del estático a los
inteligentes e interactivos. Esto quiere decir que se deben explorar formas con
respecto al diseño y etiquetado de productos. Los productos son más “inteligentes”
más capaces de abordar y responder de formas autónomas a la necesidades de los
consumidores que cambian. Máquinas de café “inteligentes”, por ejemplo, sensores
automáticos que envían señales a la marca local cuando necesita reparación. Por
ello el usuario no solo compra un producto- una máquina de café- también compra
un servicio, y la promesa de mantenimiento cuando sea necesario.
