Evidencia 2: Workshop “Products and services”

consulte el material complementario denominado Integration of products and services.

Luego de esta consulta, resuelva el siguiente taller sobre comprensión lectora:

1. Find the main idea of paragraphs 1, 2, 9, 10, 11, and 12, and write them in a
paragraph.

In search of reshaping the global economy we are looking for a digital revolution, to have
international competition and to implement cultural and structural trends. These three
factors must always be linked with the search to mix products and services in such a way
that it generates an attraction for the consumer and therefore an added value to the
companies. In favor of the first factor all companies must prepare for a digitalization. The
above is done by helping companies generate competitiveness and productivity but
considering the perspectives and minimum needs of consumers.
2. Write a summary of ten lines from the text.

The text talks about export strategies, traditional policy tools that allow us to make a
balance at the business level. Deindustrialization on the other hand has had an increasing
tendency playing an important role in services in advanced economies. Undoubtedly, a
versatile and creative economy is achieved with the combination of three factors of great
importance such as digitalization, globalization and sociocultural transformations. The aim
is to move from static products and / or services to interactive and perhaps intelligent
ones. It is there where the service also has relevance because a consumer is already
conceived buying a product but also a service that could be a given example promise of
maintenance whenever it is necessary for a machine. Europe must implement these
strategies to continue with the reputation of quality but offering a promise of value and
gaining a competitive advantage.

3. Choose a paragraph and translate it with your own words.

Selected paragraph title: From Static to Interactive.

The needs of consumers are constantly changing, which is why the global economy must
seek to address and respond to these changes by exploring innovations whether in
design, in product labeling or even in the service as such. It should be sought that the
customer acquires a product but also in turn a service that will allow companies to have a
competitive advantage in a certain business unit
4. Choose ten words from the text and organize them alphabetically. Look for the
meaning of each word.
a. Advantage: A condition or circumstance that places one in a favorable or
superior position.
b. Balance: Periodic examination of a company’s accounts.
c. Economy: the system of trade and industry by which the wealth of a country
