CREATE A PREDATOR

The predators who hunted your assigned type of prey

have all become extinct due to overhunting. It's up to
you to create a new effective predator who can bring
balance back to the ecosystem.
Research
You will need to research your assigned prey and answer
the questions on the worksheet. Relevant information
needs to be gathered about how it defends itself from
predators and what its weaknesses are.

Now it's time to create your predator! Using items (e.g. paper,
that the class has brought in as well as craft cardboard and

designed in the previous step.

Evaluate
Analyse what works well in your design, what doesn't and what you could
change to make it better. Are the predator and prey relatively evenly
matched? Will the predator hunt too easily? Will the prey escape too easily?

Adjust
Make any changes you came up with in your evaluation.

Share
Share your predator with a small group, explaining its adaptations and
features which help it to hunt and why it is an effective predator for your
prey. This needs to be filmed on an iPad and uploaded to Seesaw.

Requirements:
When you create your predator, it must be at least
20cm tall or wide (depending on the shape of the
animal) and no bigger than 50cm tall or wide.
