You are going to see images of five cities and their landmarks. Write a
paragraph describing each city and country it belongs and the landmark shown.
Use the vocabulary from the box for the descriptions. The first one is done for
you as an example. / A continuación verá imágenes de cinco ciudades y sus
lugares representativos. Escriba un párrafo describiendo cada ciudad, el país al
que pertenece y el lugar mostrado. Use el vocabulario dentro del recuadro para
las descripciones. La primera ha sido hecha como ejemplo.

New York is a big city in the

United States (North
America). It takes thousand of
visitors every year. The city
has a population of around 8
million people. There is a lot
to see and do in New York.
You can visit the Central Park,
the Metropolian museum and
Time’s Square. In the picture
you can see the Statue of
Liberty, a monumet built
between 1875 and 1986. It is
93 meters tall. The statue is
New York (USA) – The Statue of Liberty
located on Liberty Island in
the Hudson River.

Rome (Italy) – Saint Peter’s Square
Sydney (Australia) – The Sydney Opera
House
Edinburgh (Scotland) – Edinburgh Castle
Roma is capital of Italy , the
city has 60.36 millions
residents. In Italy you can find
The Grand canal of Venice.
Is a European country with a
long Mediterranean coast, had
a considerable influence on
Western culture and cuisine. I
Rome, is home to the Vatican,
ancient ruins, and iconic
works of art. The picture
shows St. Peter´s Square in
front of the cathedral.
Sydney is the most popular
city in Austalia, it is famous
for its Sydney Opera House by
the harbor, with a distinctive
sail shaped design, there you
can also see the Sydney
Harbor Bridge arch and the
famous Royal Botanic
Gardens nearby. Sydney
Tower's outer platform, the
Skywalk, offers 360-degree
views of the city and suburbs.
Edinburgh is the compact and
mountainous capital of
Scotland. It has a medieval old
town and an elegant Georgian
new town with neoclassical
gardens and buildings. Above
the city stands Edinburgh
Castle, which houses the
Scottish crown jewels and the
Stone of Destiny, used in the
coronation of the Scottish
rulers. Arthur's Seat is a
towering peak in Holyrood
Park with panoramic views,
and Calton Hill has
monuments and memorials at
 its top.
Dubai is an emirate city in the
United Arab Emirates known
for its luxurious trade, ultra-
modern architecture and lively
nightlife. Burj Khalifa, a tower
830 m high, dominates the
landscape full of skyscrapers.
At its feet is the Dubai
Fountain, with choreographed
jets and lights to the rhythm of
the music. On the artificial
islands just off the coast are
Atlantis, La Palma, a tourist
Dubai (United Arab Emirates) – The Burj center with water and marine
Khalifa animal parks.
