Based on the idea of Immanuel Kant on justice and fairness, how can you relate your tax
contribution to the justice and fairness system in the Philippines?
Immanuel Kant philosophy on justice and fairness means justice involves external acts
through which an individual may directly or indirectly influence others. Justice does not affect
the desires, wishes, or needs of others. Lastly justice is concerned primarily with the nature of
interpersonal relationships and not with their substance. I can relate the philosophy of
Immanuel Kant on justice and fairness to our tax contribution to justice and fairness system in
the Philippines by simply saying that all people who are living here in our country will have the
same or equal amount of justice they can get. Even though some of the people don’t pay taxes
or they have low taxes they will still get the equal justice just like others. It is clearly stated that
even though other people are in some high class life, justice doesn’t affect any of that,
everyone can be right or wrong. It shows individual having no bias and deserve to have an equal
treatment. Through justice, everyone must be able to improve their position and respect the
rights of others. Everyone can be jailed or freed because we all know justice doesn’t care about
everyone’s state of life. Thus, it depends on how evidence and fate present itself and to the
hands where justice is held.
