ABC Pharmaceuticals is one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in Bangladesh. It has
decided to automate its business operation and decision making process. It is also ready to
invest to setup a Business Intelligent platform so that it can archive and process historical data
for data driven decision making. You have been hired as a MIS consultant by ABC Pharma. Your
role and ABC Pharma expectation from you are as follows:
a) You decide with justification what system shall you choose between traditional file
management system and Relational Data Base Management Approach.
b) Describe scope of automation and benefits organization can achieve through this
automation and end-to-end implementation in TPS, MIS and ESS.
c) Management has asked you to select a system development methodology which would
be cost effective and quick delivery of a working solution through heavily engaging the
end-users. Describe this methodology along with activity diagram.
d) Management wants you to design a Data Warehouse (DW) platform along with Business
Intelligent (BI) for intelligent reporting system. Draw a DW architecture showing some
source systems, DW platform and reporting system. Evaluate and describe the benefits
of Technology and Tools available for DW & BI solutions

Describe in detail why an organization shall invest to implement an Enterprise System. Describe
along with a diagram how organization is benefited having an ERP which covers all major
functions and end-to-end processes. Describe how SCM gets advantage of ERP and offer more
efficient services to the organization. Briefly describe benefits of each of these services of SCM
after implementation of ERP
