Art Appreciation

1. Is art a reflection of our values? Why?

It is indeed arts a reflection of our values. It reflects the way we view or perceive
what we think and saw in a specific piece. Art also brings meaning in individual’s life
and helps to contribute in the society we are currently living. Mostly, it is a reflection of
people’s way of conveying emotions and information and their complex identification.

2. Is artistic skill learned or natural?

For me, it is both natural and learned. Art may be a person’s interest and wanted
to learn and develop more his/her skill by studying any art-related works and joining
workshops to enhance the ability he/she already has, and artistically inclined or in good
at arts since then.

3. Why is art considered as a “distinct character and a reflection of society”?

Art is considered as distinct character and a reflection of society as it brings
political change to the life and society that conveys propaganda in a way of
communication. An art is also a plan of an artist as its purpose in which it is used to
communicate with others, brings governmental modification, and to influence ideas and
advocacy.
