2020-017 STATUS OF BRANCHES TRADE SALES

Similar to our subscription sales, the branches trade sales is lower by P445,715.59 or
(-) 9%.
2020-018 BRAIN OPEN / STORMING FORUM
 LEs are having problems meeting subscribers face to face and our sales are
going down. Branches are losing in terms of branch operation.

Problems:

1. Subscription and Trade Sales are going down.

2. How can we recover
3. LEs not being able to canvass
4. PPH run short BS, MBF and AO but has lots of other titles.
5. MWD status
6. HHBB status
7. Branch operations are losing.
8. LEs & APMLs are discouraged.
9. How do we “fit-in” or adjust to the “New Normal” social and business
condition?

In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, Philippine Publishing House recognizes the

following facts:

1. Our branch managers are doing their best to lessen the unavoidable
impact of this pandemic in their own capacities.
2. Our publishing directors from the Union to the conference/mission levels
are finding innovative ways to continue the publishing work in their
respective territories.
3. Our APMLs and LEs are braving the frontliners to reach their goals
despite restrictions and challenges.
4. It takes united effort among all those involved in the publishing work to
allay the repercussions of this unexpected and continuing sickness.
5. God is the only answer, and above all our human efforts, our relationship
with Him alone ca best provide our much needed solutions. Where life
seems darkest, it is then that God’s is manifested best.

Therefore, the Philippine Publishing House provides the following suggestions for
our managers, publishing leaders and APMLs to implement whenever or whatever
they see fit:

1. Conduct revival meeting in person or through ZOOM, whatever is

applicable, and invite speakers who can inspire literature evangelists to press
on until Jesus’ return. The more frequent the better.
2. Hold testimonial meetings where literature evangelists can share positive
experiences. EG White encourages us to talk of God’s providences instead of
unbelief’s.
3. Intensity prayer habits by encouraging literature evangelists to have prayer
partners (same sex or husband and wife).
4. Remind literature evangelists to follow government protocols especially in
observing social distancing, using PPEs, ad avoiding prohibited areas.
5. Advise literature evangelists to canvass books that are available in the
branches. Inform literature evangelists that producing books require capital
which for now PPH has difficulty releasing, unlike before. Books available in
the branches are already tunable to cash which will greatly help provide
capital for new production.
6. Update literature evangelists of the delivery of new titles, i.e:
a. HH Bookbound - November 2020
b. MBF - 1st week of October, 2020
c. BS - December 2020
d. TIAS - 1st week of October, 2020
e. NRE - last week of November 2020
f. Devotional Adult - 1st week of November 2020
g. Diary - December 2020
7. Adjust office schedule to cut cost. May report to office in the morning only
and use the afternoon to visit pastors and SDA brethren in order to promote
trade books.
8. Provide materials for online selling provided that literature evangelists are
requested to refrain from using the name PPH or Health and Home.
9. Offer to PPH suggestions that they see will answer problems in their
particular place of labor.
10. Share with fellow managers, publishing leaders, APLMs, and LEs best
practices heard or observed from other mission fields.

Closing Prayer : Cristulio D. Salvan, Jr.
