Materials Used:

 Styrofoam
 Poster paint
 Double-sided tape
 Scissors

How to Use:

1. Connect and tape the four small triangles to form a big triangle.
2. Measure the length of the 3 sides of the triangle.
3. Choose one (1) side and let it be the base of the triangle.
4. Get the midpoint of the two remaining sides.
5. Connect the midpoint to form a segment
 What do you call the segment formed by two midpoints?
 Does the segment drawn look parallel to the 3 rd side of the triangle you choose?
6. Measure the length of the segment.
 Compare the length of the segment drawn and the 3 rd side you choose.
 What did you observe?
7. Cut the triangle along the segment .
 What two figures are formed after cutting the triangle along the segment?
