8 ABSTRACT
9The content of the lab report should be typed in 11 pt Times New Roman, justified with margins all four
10sides of 2.54 cm on US Letter (29.59cm x 27.94cm). However, the section headings are in 12-point Times
11New Roman, bold. The abstract should be concise and provide the basic findings of the study. No
12abbreviations, author citations or reference citations should be included. Abstract should contain
13Introduction, Methods, Results and Conclusion. Keywords consist of three to five words, arranged
14alphabetically. Single spacing.
15
16Keywords: alphabetically, five, three, to, words – must not repeat words in title
17
18
19 INTRODUCTION
20 The introduction section should be written in a way that is comprehensible to a reader without
21specialist knowledge in that area. Introduction should contain background and research objective. The
22section should be end with a brief statement of what is being reported in the article.
23 Standard Abbreviations (SA) should be spelled out first. Units of measurements should be spelled
24out except even preceded by a numeral e.g. 19 cm not nineteen centimeters. The metric equivalent should
25be mentioned if no metric measurements units are used. The complete scientific name of every organism
26must be mentioned in the text e.g. Fusarium oxysporum not F. oxysporum (for first its appearance). The
27use of common names must be accompanied by the correct scientific name e.g Tomatoes (Solanum
28lycopersicum). Section headings are in 12-point bold. Justify the paragraphs left and right. The first line
29of the paragraphs is indented at 0.5 cm. There are no spaces between paragraphs. Citations are numbered.

32 MATERIALS AND METHODS
33
34Writing the Materials and Methods
35 The methods should be adequately detailed or referenced to other work. The subheadings should be
36in the same format with the section headings. All subheadings should be in same format 12-point Times
37New Roman, bold.
38
39Presenting a Figure
40 Embed the figures in the document and place them closest to the text where the figure is referred
41and discussed. In addition, graph should not contain gridlines. Please ensure that the information
42presented in the figures are visible and readable especially for axis labels and markers in a graph. Figures

43may be submitted in color or grayscale. Figures are centered and embedded as a separate line and not
44wrapped inside the text. Hence no text should appear beside a figure (Fig. 1).
45 To maintain the quality of the figures and images, it should have a minimum resolution of 150
46pixels/inch and embedded in the manuscript with horizontal length between 7.5-13 cm (~3-5 inches or
47450-750 pixels). Do not stretch low-resolution images. It is the responsibility of the authors to provide
48high quality figures for their manuscripts. Low resolution/quality figures may impart a false impression
49on the quality of the scientific contribution and could result in the rejection of the paper.
50 The figure-captions are centered. Figure-captions are typeset with 8-point Times New Roman and
51located underneath the figure. Please layout your figures appropriately to allow space for figure captions
52to contain in one page.

55
56 RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
57Writing the Results and Discussion
58 The results section should only include the results of this study and no comparison with other
59studies. Never use the term etc. in the text.

60Writing the Results and Discussion

61 All figures and tables should be centered and numbered consecutively (Fig. 2). All figures and
62tables should be embedded in text, not as an attachment after References Section.

69in text, not as an attachment after References Section. No vertical lines. Figure-captions are typeset with
708-point Times New Roman and located above the table (Table 1).

74 CONCLUSIONS
75 The conclusion should clearly state the main conclusions of the research and provide a clear
76explanation of their importance and relevance. Summary illustrations may be included. Cite references
