1. Why was the study conducted?

The study is conducted to know the benefits of orange peel. Many of us just
discharge the peels of fruits and vegetables because people think that they are
useless. One of the most sensational characteristics of peels is their scent and
actually one fruit that has a good scent in and out are citrus fruits. As we all know,
citrus fruits are the most provider of vitamin C. Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic
acid, plays a key role in the formation of collagen, a primary component of much
of the connective tissue in the body. Ascorbic acid is known to be sour, therefore it
neutralizes the scent of foul-odor such as fishy smell and the like.Through this
statements, peels from citrus fruits can be a good source of hand sanitizer to
prevent bad smell. This will be a good topic, especially to parishioners that work
with unusual smells like market vendors. It will be an alternative method so that
people can now enjoy a new hygienic material that can satisfy also with monetary
value.

B. Statement of the Problem

The topic that was studied is about the advantage of orange peel as a new way of
keeping our hygiene daily. It is needed to study because many people think that
peels, not only in orange but other fruits can’t bring benefits to us. Orange peels
also contain 14% Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) that is good for our health. Scientists
already discovered that orange peel is good for lung-cleansing. This means that
orange peel really contains good scent that is good for our body senses. After
collecting a background information about the study, it is discovered that there are
14 % of Vitamin C, 1% of Vitamin A and 1% Calcium in an orange peel. From
these informations, there are several vitamins that we can still get with an orange
peel. And that’s an important factor that will be observed in the future of this
research.
C. Significance of the Study

As per year 2013, the pollution in Metro Manila increased at a rate of 30%. The
pollution is brought by the vehicles who excrete their smokes through the urban
area of Metro Manila. This contains carbon monoxide which is unfavorable of
good scent. This orange peel perfume will make all parishioners (especially for
people who are commuting). They will benefit because there are several factors in
the human society where we are rejected because of our scent, an example is when
a person finds for a job. One factor is when we are fresh when we feel we are
presentable to many people. It makes people feel confident whenever they go to
their work. Another benefit of this perfume is that it makes the environment
presentable resulting to a healthy-living Earth.

D. Scope and Limitation of the Study

One of the aspects of the topic that is covered by the study is the limitation of
unnecessary smell in the environment. This research will lead the environment to
an equitable and qualifying place for all people. At an estimated time of at least
two months, it is enough for the problem to be observed firstly. Then, collecting of
informations and methodology should immediately come up after the observation
of the problem. This study should limit the researcher on being too much practical
of the methodology. This study should be analyze at an exact time where results
are accurate and believably to be done correctly. Researchers should also control
the gathering of informations through related studies and literature only.
