“CAREER DAY

CELEBRATION”

On October 10, 2019 Valencia National High School held an event on the celebration of the
Career day. On this day, the different strand needs to made their respective room into a surrounding
which are connected to their strand.

In Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (S.T.E.M.) strand, there are three sections
which mean they need have three rooms for this activity. There’s one room for engineering, which tackles
about the different engineering course, the grade 12 students discussed and let the students who visits
discover something about engineering. In the other room was more focused on Medicine field, you can
see lots of instruments which you can see when you go to the hospital. And for the last room it was
focused the different aspects of science, such as physics, life, and earth science. I was so mesmerized by
how the Grade 12 S.T.E.M. students made their room a surrounding that was related to their strand.

In Accountancy, Business, and Management (A.B.M.) strand, there are also three sections which
mean they need have three rooms for this activity. There is one room for the introduction about the strand,
what are the subjects when you enrolled in the strand, the courses offered when you proceed to college
and the possible works afterwards. The second room was more on business, (buying and selling), there
are students who sell different products to the students who will visit in the booth, and for the third room,
it is somewhat like a bank, the students will be able to experience how does it fell to work in a bank. So
that was the Accountancy, Business, and Management (A.B.M.) booth composed of.

In the TVL track, they made their room into a hotel; it is really cool that they made us feel at
home in their surroundings. The receptionist area, which is very cozy, and they offered three rooms for
those people who will rent a room. They also have a separate room for they cooking and baking, different
foods were showed. I really love how creative they were for these ideas.

Unfortunately these are the only booth I had go through, On that day I was really mesmerized by
how the grade 12 students made an effort for this activity.

I am really thankful that our school conducted this activity, for those students who are still
undecided on what strand or course they will take up. But for me I am really decided that I will pursue
Accountancy in college, but still I am thankful since grade 12 students from A.B.M. discussed the pros’
and cons’ of Accountancy.

This activity really help a lot of students in deciding on what will they pursue in the future.
