Dear Elena,

This is to inform you of the results of your performance assessment as probationary employee.

You will recall that through a probationary employment contract dated 01 February 2016, you were hired
by the Hotel for the position of Service Leader – Uniform/Linen on probationary status. You were
informed that your probationary employment period shall be for a period of six (6) months, beginning on
16 March 2016.

As a probationary employee, you were given limited security of tenure for a given period, as you were
under observation and evaluation to determine fitness for permanent employment. During the
probationary employment period, the Hotel is given the opportunity to observe your skill, competence
and attitude while you, on the other hand, are given the chance to prove to the management that you have
the qualifications to meet the standards for regular employment. Your failure to attain the standards for
regularization, which were made known to you at the commencement of your probationary employment,
shall be a ground for termination of employment.

Unfortunately, the results of your performance appraisal as a probationary employee (copy enclosed)
reveal that you failed to attain the reasonable standards for regularization.

In view of the foregoing, we are hereby terminating your probationary employment contract effective on
______ September 2016 on the ground of your failure to meet the standards for regularization.
