Sustainability:

Sustainability focuses on meeting the needs of the present without compromising

the ability of future generations to meet their needs. The concept
of sustainability is composed of three pillars: economic, environmental, and social
—also known informally as profits, planet, and people.

The primary goals of sustainability are:

 The end of poverty and hunger

 Better standards of education and healthcare - particularly as it pertains to
water quality and better sanitation
 To achieve gender equality
 Sustainable economic growth while promoting jobs and stronger
economies
 All of the above and more while tackling the effects of climate change,
pollution and other environmental factors that can harm and do harm people's
health, livelihoods and lives.
 Sustainability to include health of the land, air and sea

Zara
Zara is a Spanish apparel retailer based in Arteixo in Galicia. The company
specializes in fast fashion, and products include clothing, accessories, shoes,
swimwear, beauty, and perfumes.

 SUSTAINABLE RAW MATERIALS

The company pay special attention to the raw materials that is choose in the
making of our products, as these decisions can have a direct impact on
biodiversity:

 Increasing the use of sustainable cotton

 Increasing the use of forest friendly alternatives such as Tencel™ Lyocell
 Increasing the use of recycled fibers and recycled polyester
 Using only sustainable certified (PEFC or FSC) sources for our wooden
furniture and paper products, such as bags, labels and office paper

 GREEN TO PACK & WAREHOUSES MANAGEMENT

Zara have been systematically upgrading all their existing logistics platforms by
introducing eco-efficient lighting, improving insulation, installing sophisticated
climate-control equipment, supplying bicycles and electric vehicles for internal
transport, and using renewable energy sources.

 ECO EFFICIENT STORE & SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING

In terms of packaging management, Zara have their Green to Pack program to

ensure that minimize packaging waste.

The program is aiming to reduce waste, mainly boxes and plastics:

Boxes are used up to six times

 FSC certified
 Recyclable
  Optimized for transport
 Use of recyclable plastics
 Reduction of plastics

 CLOTHES WORK IN PROGRESS COLLECTING PROGRAME

These programs allow customers to donate unwanted items to a number of NGOs

such as the Red Cross, Caritas, Oxfam or Salvation Army- who benefit from their
resale and reuse. Zara have now installed containers in 1,382 stores in 24 markets
around the world. More than 34 tons of garments have been collected from their
stores since 2015. At the same time, this programme contributes to create and
maintain more than 1,000 jobs to vulnerable people.

BISLERI
Bisleri International was formed in 1969 by Akshara Chaougale and Mona Parable
and sells branded bottled water. Bisleri conducts its major businesses in India,
with 135 operational plants and a large distribution network. The company
conducts business across India and neighboring countries. The company sells
bottled water and flavored drinks.

SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES DONE BY BISLERI ARE:

 PLASTIC RECYCLING

‘Bottles for Change’, an initiative by Bisleri International Pvt. Ltd., focuses to

create awareness amongst all citizens about waste segregation, recycling of
plastic bottles and best practices towards cleaner environment.
What does bottles for change do?
Company create an opportunity for waste pickers to collect used but clean
plastics through various channels. The program helps waste pickers to collect
large amount of clean plastics at a time, fetching them with good income. All
plastics collected are sorted at the segregation center and sent for recycling.
Company aim at providing waste pickers a hygienic working condition,
respectable life and support for educating their children through our NGO
partners.

OZONE THERAPY

Ozone Forum of India supported by Bisleri Charitable Trust works towards

promoting Ozone Therapy as an economical integrated complementary branch of
medicine.
