If I were to select any one opportunity that is more attractive for the organization to improve its
EFE score, I would choose “social media networking is expanding greatly”.

I would choose this because it makes the difference of 0.3 to the result and is greater than other
differences if to improve the EFE score the rating is improved and increased to 4.this is the
opportunity that is having importance more than all the other ones that are having low rating. So
by working on this one opportunity and by improving its rating we will have effective result and
up to the maximum we could improve the EFE score.

 Weighted score when rating was 4=0.4
 Difference=0.3

Threat:

If I were to select any one threat that is more attractive for the organization to improve its EFE
score, I would choose “Lay have 19.6% market share in snacks”.

I would choose this because it makes the difference of 0.33 to the result and is greater than other
differences if to improve the EFE score the rating is improved and increased to 4. this is the
threat that is having importance more than all the other ones that are having low rating. So by
working on this one threat and by improving its rating we will have effective result and up to the
maximum we could improve the EFE score.

 Weighted score when rating was 4=0.44
 Difference=0.33

As difference of 0.3 was seen by improving opportunity “social media networking is expanding
greatly” so EFE after effective use of opportunity identified will be

EFE score before=2.47

EFE score after:

=EFE score before + (opportunity weighted score before-opportunity weighted score after)

=2.47+0.3

=2.77

So EFE Score will be 2.77
