ALUMNI CHAPTER MEETS

The Joy of Reconnecting

1) MUMBAI:
The first chapter meet for the year 2019 organized for the Mumbai-Pune alums was on 30th
November at Holiday Inn. A total of 8 alums were the part of this gracious meet. Prof. Ajay
Bansal was the faculty member present there to conduct this event.
The alumnus seemed very excited meeting each other and decided to have further informal
meetings of such kind. Mr. Danish was selected as the coordinator for Mumbai region.
They were also ready to come to the institute to give the guest talks and workshops. They really
enjoyed having lunch and discussing their job experiences and the corporate life.
The dashboard introduction was the highlight of the meet which was the talk among most of
them. They showed keen interest to be a part of it and access all the related information
through the portal.
2) BANGALORE:
Jaipuria Institute of Management, Noida organized its Bangalore Chapter meet on 7th December'19 at
Courtyard Marriott, Bangalore with a view to bring closer the alumni residing in Bangalore.

The meet was graced by Dr. Poonam Sharma, Chairperson- Alumni Relations and 14 Alumni from
various batches from the Bangalore region.

The main motive for conducting the meet in Bangalore was to reconnect with the alums there that could
not have the college connection in Noida. The meet continued with a lot of discussion and talks with our
alums and they were really elated meeting their faculty member.

Further they also gave some valuable suggestion regarding improving the connection between the
present batches with them and also proposed to provide summer trainings to the existing students as
this is the time to build their corporate knowledge.

Adding to it, they were excited about the dashboard started by the institute for the alumnus which
provide various information and services regarding the institute.

The meet ended with lunch followed by presenting gifts to them. Thus this meet proved to be a great
success for building networking.
3) HYDERABAD:
The Hyderabad chapter meet was organized on 1st December 2019 at Deccan Sarai by the
Jaipuria Institute of Management where our faculty coordinator Prof Deepak Singh allured
the event with their presence.
A total of 14 alumnus participated. The chapter meet was a great source of connecting with the
students of jaipuria working there. The students discussed their experience with the faculty and
narrated various interesting stories which lifted up the environment with fun and giggles.
Alumni were there right from the first batch to the most recent batch. There was enthusiasm amongst
all as few also attended the event along with their spouses.

The alums were also excited to meet each other as it was not possible for them to have a gathering like
this instead of living in the same city.

Many of them decided to have weekly or monthly meets like this to stay connected with each other and
also be in touch with their faculty members and the present batch of juniors to aid them in SIPs and final
placements. The meet ended on a happy note and all the alums were presented with a gift as a
memento to mark the day.
Some of the discussion points during these chapter meet:

1. Existing students should be asked to connect with various Alumni on social media platforms.
This will not only help them to network with these experienced seniors but also help them to
know, apply and get advice for any potential opening/opportunity in the corporate.

2. The alumni were delighted upon information sharing about alumni dashboard that facilitates a
number of services to alumni with a click of a button.

3. Proposedly, it was discussed that seniors can come forward & help existing students to provide
potential opportunities to complete their Summer Internships at the various locations suitable
to them.

4. They were also informed about the unique facility of lateral placements information for alumni
members through dashboard that notifies and spread the word to all the connections in no
time.

5. Alumni should have weekly / monthly meetings & workshops with each other in small groups.
To ensure better connectivity & sharing their creative ideas to enhance alumni connect with
their alma mater.
