INTERNATIONAL OFFICE PROGRAM:

1. International Semester Program

Undhira International Semester Program "Intrapreneurship in Another Perspective" is a study abroad
program that allows international students to spend a semester studying in Bali, away from their home
countries. The program is designed to give students a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in a new
culture, learn about different perspectives, and expand their academic horizons.
Undhira International Semester Program is open to students from a variety of majors and academic
backgrounds. The program includes courses that are taught in English, as well as Indonesian language classes to
help students improve their proficiency in the local language.
In addition to coursework, Undhira International Semester Program offers cultural activities, excursions, and
other events to help students learn more about the local culture and explore the host country. These may
include visits to historical sites, museums, and cultural events, as well as opportunities to participate in local
community service projects.
Participating in Undhira International Semester Program can be a life-changing experience for international
students. It provides them with the opportunity to gain a new perspective on the world, make new friends from
different backgrounds, and develop valuable intercultural communication skills. Additionally, studying abroad
can enhance a student's resume and make them more attractive to potential employers in the future.
“Intrapreneurship in another perspective is the capability and willingness to think and to act in an
innovative, economically responsible way and to contribute significantly to a sustainable, peaceful environment,
in which humanitarian equity, respect, and subservience are essential features”
Universitas Dhyana Pura (Undhira) in cooperation with the Institute of Sustainability and Intrapreneurship
began the international semester program “Intrapreneurship in Another Perspective” in 2012. Undhira, through
its International Office, offers international minors (semester programs), short courses, seminars, and
workshops in the fields of Intrapreneurship & Sustainability.
Undhira intends to be an international gathering place and incubator for international students, academics,
and professionals to meet and discuss the further development of the concept of intrapreneurship inanother
perspective as a leading philosophy and one of the unique selling points for the recently started Dhyana Pura
University (2011). Additionally, Undhira will implement the concept of intrapreneurship in another perspective,
integrated within the different programs at Dhyana Pura University
2
The program is built up into different phases/steps, divided over 19 weeks (including the exam week). The
19-week program includes classroom meetings, cultural learning, excursion, individual or group project,
examinations, and implementation projects. The length of the program can be adjusted to fit the need of
partner institutions.
The program follows the steps according to the process of action – review – planning – action. Each step will
be finished with a presentation, an evaluation, or a test. At the end of the program, every participant will give a
presentation of his individual contribution to the program and also he/she will present his/her individual project.

Why an International Semester Program?

What is wrong with our global society and why does global mismanagement threaten the future of our
earth, our place of residence?
The earth offers a place for thousands of species, including humans. However, the behavior of human beings
especially affects the well-being of other species and our physical environment most profoundly. This causes
tensions between groups of human beings within the political, economic, and socio-cultural spectrums.
Simultaneously, the struggle between regions and nations, the growing gap between the poor and the rich, and
the socio-cultural, religious, and/or economic domination from one group over others pose real threats to our
future, as well as the future of our planet. Moreover, the physical environment on Earth is in real trouble.
Real international experience is a must for students, to better understand the global society in context.
International exposure can help students become responsible, balanced global citizens who can develop new
thoughts and ideas to preserve the earth as a healthier planet for future generations. International education is
well fitted for students who want to understand the global society in its diversity—including overpopulated
regions of the Global South and East, seen from the Western point of view. Additionally, international education
helps students to learn from and share with fellow global citizens, acting from their own different cultural and
historical backgrounds. A basic guideline hereby is ‘think globally, act locally’. Students have to learn to take
social responsibility based on transparency, conviction, patience, empowerment, and courage.

Who will benefit from it?

Bachelor's and Master's students from overseas and domestic institutions can complete minor programs and
execute R&D projects in the fields of Intrapreneurship and sustainability in Bali while completing their Bachelor's
or Master's degrees. Alumni and lifelong learners can complete international refresher courses, organized by
Universitas Dhyana Pura in cooperation with international partners.
Only students with high motivation, commitment, and dedication are invited to participate in this program.
The program is aimed at the development of highly sought-after and selected students.
The program is offered in English and has an applied, practical orientation, together with project experience
elements. Moreover, the program has an international and cross-cultural perspective and emphasis. The
program takes five months, mostly done by students in their third (5th semester) or fourth year (7th semester).
It offers a unique and well-balanced combination of practical experience and theoretical knowledge.
Undhira strives to create a network of students, graduates, and alumni with the expertise and ability to
apply their multidisciplinary knowledge and skills in innovative and creative ways to face global challenges in a
local context. They will be enterprising and show initiative, as they possess highly developed, service-specific
competencies to meet the demands of the international social and business environments.

Vision
Undhira International Semester provides young people and adult learners alike the tools necessary to
answer the challenges of today and the future, to enable them to contribute significantly to a more safe and
healthy global society.

3
Mission
Undhira International Semester seeks to give young people and adults learners alike more skills and
international experience, enabling them to become more responsible and respectful individuals, i.e.,
