MUST , HAVE TO , AND SHOULD

 Have to is more frequent in conversation; must is used more in formal writing,


for example in written notices
‘’Have to ’’ have a formal : S + have to / had to + V1
Xample : 1.( + ) : Tika have to study
( - ) : Tika don’t have to study
2.( + ) : Tika had to study hard yesterday
( - ) : Tika don’t had to study hard yesterday

 Must is to express opinions originating from ourselves , must not changes in


the three people singular (he/she/it/has).
‘’Must’’ have a formal : S + must / mustn’t + V1
The from of negative must is mustn’t who interpreted a prohibition
Xample 1.( + ) : She must decide to forget her
( - ) : She mustn’t decide to forget her
2.( + ) : He must say honestly
( - ) : He mustn’t say honestly
 Should used to give advice , that should be / should be someone do.
‘’should’’ have a formal : S + should / Shouldn’t + V1
Xample : 1.( + ): you should take a rest.
( - ) : you shouldn’t take a rest
2.( + ) : you should be absent
( - ) : you shouldn’t be absent
The difference must and should : Had or should be used to suppostion if must
. Had used to sentence that would .
The difference must and have to : have the meaning of the same , namely ‘’
should ‘’ . Both are equally express must or needs. But the difference is
negative sentence .

FIRST and SECOND CONDITIONAL


 FIRST CONDIONAL : This conditional is used to talk about future events
that might happen.
 SECOND CONDIONAL : This conditional is used to talk about the unreal
possibility or impossible events.
Xample First condional :
1.Positive sentence : If + Present Simple (S+V1/V(s/es)), S+ will + infinitive
without to (V1)
(+) I have time , I will finish that letter
Negative sentence : If + Present Simple (S+V1/V(s/es)), S+ will not/won’t +
infinitive without to (V1)
(-)I have time , I will not finish that letter
Short Question-Answer:
Q: Will + S + V1 + If + present simple ? / if + present simple, will + S + V1
A: Yes, S + will/ No, S + will not/ won’t
Question : Wiil you go with me if you have the free time?
Answer : Yes, I will.

2.Positive sentence : I it rains , I will the bus


Negative sentence : I it rains , I will not the bus
Question : Wiil you accompany me to night , if you have the
free time?
Answer : Hmmm.No, I won’t. I’m sorry .
Xample Second condional :
1.Positive sentence : If + Past Simple (S+V2), S+ would + infinitive without
to (V1)

Negative sentence : If + past simple (usually negative form), S+ wouldn’t/
would not + infinitive without to (V1)
(-) I were teller , I wouldn’t buy this dress
