Holding Unto Institutional Student Learning Outcome

Institutional Student Learning Outcome was stressed in the video as “the knowledge
skills and dispositions that the institution believes are important for every undergraduate
student to possess so that they can excel in an uprising global and complex word.” on
the other side, it is the abilities that are expected to develop after the students undergo
to any aspect of the college programs.

The speaker proudly stated that their Institutional Learning Outcome became feasible
and conducive because their heads helped faculty, staffs and students to use minds
coherently about the undergraduate educational experience. This action is very much
important, because in this generation bonded with modern technology, where some of
the school head just do the basic works that they usually do and doesn’t care about
other things. Frequent communication between the heads and the teacher are highly
essential. Leaders are the one who will act first to have a healthy conversation and ask
ideas if what are the best thing that they can do for their students and the institution as a
whole.

The Eight Institutional Student Learning Outcomes of the Cookman University was also
elaborated in the video. And I was enthralled on how they formulate positive outcomes
because this is really beyond my limits and expectations. All of these outcomes are
intertwined to community and to the whole world as a whole. As for outcome first
outcome, the African- American experience in which the state graduates will
demonstrate an understanding of the foundational, social, political, economic and
cultural role African-American’s played in the development of the United States. This
means that they foresee better outcomes for their students to become a good citizen of
their community. It is just amazing how they think of these outcomes that concerns with
the community that they are in. They’re very much realistic.

Up until now, much of the focus in the field of student learning performance has been on
the role of learning- teaching in the educational environment. Having a good Institutional
Student Learning outcome will give many benifits not just on the students but also to the
community as well. These outcomes will surely make a better recalibrstio in the whole
world where no one is left behind.
