1.What is andragogy? (Is is different from pedagogy?

Andragogy is different from pedagogy. Here's the justification:

The terms “andragogy” and “pedagogy” are of Greek origin, both including the Greek
verb “ago”, which means “guide”, and the Greek words “andras” (man) and “paidi”
(child) respectively. So,

Pedagogy = paidi (child) + ago (guide)

Andragogy = andras (man) + ago (guide)

Therefore it can be concluded from the given terms that pedagogy is a child-focused
teaching approach, whereas andragogy is an adult-focused teaching approach; or,
formally, pedagogy is the art and science of helping kids learn, whereas andragogy is
the art and science of helping adults learn.

It is very clear that andragogy can be highly motivational, as adult learners are more
goal oriented than younger learners; this is why offering them meaningful learning
experiences can make a real difference in achieving learning outcomes.

2. What is experiential learning?

Experiential learning is the process of learning through experiences. More specifically, it

is termed as learning by doing or learning by reflecting. Therefore, learning that is
considered "experiential" contains all the following elements: reflection, critical analysis
and synthesis, opportunities for students to take initiative, make decisions and be
accountable for the results. It provides opportunities for students to engage
intellectually, creatively, emotionally, socially, or physically.
