Topic: AFFECTIVE DOMAIN

1. What I see (learn-factual-opinion)

I see Affective Domain as the substance of the process in teaching and learning, by far it
serves as the heart of the learning process for both teachers and students. It includes our
emotions, the manner on how we deal with things, our values, feelings and attitudes. Thus, it
is important since it places a great importance and significance in the learning of the
students. It motivates them, to learn and value everything that they have both in and out of
the classroom.

2. What I think I saw (interpretation)

I think I saw affective domain as the most important aspect which future educators like me
should consider. It made me realize especially from my experience that cognitive and
psychomotor domain might also be essential, but affective domain is what keeps us rooted as
learners and educators. This in turn, can help us deal mentally and emotionally for the
challenges that can make or break us in the future. Students will be able to understand
themselves more deeply and appreciate small values that can motivate them to learn
wholeheartedly.

3. What I feel about what I saw

I feel that these taxonomies or domains help build our educational system, thus I think we
must also find ways to improve them. They may have their strengths but they also have
weaknesses and loopholes which I think can be better off improved. Nonetheless, by reading
from various sources, I can say that somehow we are able to provide frameworks which also
benefits the learning process.
SYNTHESIS:

Affective domain is the part where students can benefit and holistically grow

and develop, through this domain they are able to understand what it means

to learn and how significant it is in their life. Moreover, it does not only limits

to students but also to teachers as well since they in turn, can help motivate

and nurture the learners emotionally.

By this, we can be assured that values and attitudes will be retained to them

and will help them understand and appreciate learning as a whole. I believe

that students, when nurtured can potentially grow as a wholesome individual

who has a heart to learn, teach and inspire.
