Sentence-Combining Exercises

1. The reason why I always order cheese fries is because they are my favorite.
2. Bod and I dated in high school for about eight months before met Mike.
3. Because of the high winds the tree fell on the house, but my grandmother was not hurt.
4. My dog George is a Golden Retriever, and he loves to play Frisbee and to swim, too.
5. Because my parents give me a car, so I am able to afford to go to college and to go to my
part time at Walmart as a cahier.

Combine these six pairs of sentences using the coordinating conjunction listed below. Use
each conjunction only one time.
