Nourish Your Life

The story reminded me of the golden quote I learned in high school, “do to others as you would have them
do unto you” (Matt. 7:12). In this story, the master reminded of God who would always forgive our sins if we seek
forgiveness sincerely and with compassion. We should do the same to our brethren. Forgive and forget. We
should learn to forgive, as how the king forgave his servant, we were also pardoned by Christ for the sins we have
committed. We even have better circumstances than the servant, for we were forgiven from our sins completely.
Therefore we should try to understand others who have wronged us. But sometimes, people make mistakes, we
make mistakes. You may able to forgive others but don’t expect them to do the same. If we only expect others to
do good for us while we do evil to them, that is nonsensical and hypocritical.
At some point pf time in our lives, we forgot how God is good to us. We reach to the point when we forget
what is right and what is bad. We forget the good things that God has done to our lives despite the amount of the
sins that we had committed. He still saves us by His grace and mercy, but what do we do in return? We choose to
hate others to be a human being. Nehemiah 5:1-13 reminds us to remember the poor or those who are in need. Let
us open the gates of our hearts and reach out to lend help for others.
