CULTURAL NIGHT EVENT

‘The sensory world makes up only a fraction of human experience, so in order to understand the world, we
have to conceive human interaction in the abstract, namely society.’

The relationship between man and society has always been the cause of
social issues. And now it’s time to emphasize some of those issues, to
depict the impact of society on man and vice-versa.
From time immemorial, dance and movement have been used as tools to
express emotions and to tell stories. We began to dance to express and to
communicate, to worship and to feel.
Thus, The Cultural and Sports Week 2019-20 invites all the four houses for
Inter-house dance competition at Cultural Night i.e; 28.09.19.
-All the four houses are to depict social issues through their dance.
-The issue will be provided to each house by the organizing team.
-Narration shall be included in the performance wherever required.
- A LED Display Screen will be provided which is compulsory to be used in the
performance. It may be used before, after or in between the performance.

GUIDELINES FOR COMPETITION
1. Duration: The duration of performance has to be 4-5mins which
includes the time when LED display is used. The LED display should
not be used for more than 40 secs in a performance.
2. The narration, track and video for the performance have to be
submitted in a Pen Drive to the organizing team on 28.09.19 at
10:30am sharp.
3. Any kind of lighting effects to be used in the performance are to be
told prior to the organizing team.
4. A Run Through will be held for all the performances of cultural night
at 11:00am on 28.09.19. It is mandatory for all the houses to be
present for run through.
5. The distribution of topics to each house and the sequence of
performance for the night will be pre- decided through chit system.
