MATH REVIEWER

@writeraldrin: hi lol pls bare w me on this haha, i’m dumb as fuck sa math and this reviewer
is like parang for definitions or maybe a bit of a simple explanation sa processes of solving,
transposing, combining… etc lolol parang balik aral lang din to haha so don’t expect much.

I also recommend using Khan Academy to study sa math haha they organize lessons pretty
well.

MATH

A subject that revolves around quantitative calculation would it be shapes,

numbers, structure, or order.

- Expressions are a combination of numbers and variables in order to

represent a value. To spot an expression, it should not have any equal ( = )
sign.

- Equations are two expressions are placed in one in order to solve for the
value needed. To spot an equation, it should have an equal ( = ) sign.

- If you are given a variable like 52 ( read as five raised to the power of five or
five to the fifth power ) , you are to solve it like ( 5 x 5 ) which would give you
an answer of 25.

- Inequality refers to a mathematical statement that includes greater than (>),

or equal to ( eto ung greater than a may underscore sa ilalim ) and less than
(<) or equal to ( may underscore ulit ). Inequalities are often used to compare
two numbers.

- EXAMPLES:

Expression: (α +b−c+ d ), ( 4 χ 3 )
❑❑
-
- Equation: (3x + 3 = 2x + 4), ( 7 + 9 + 26)
- Inequality: ( ⅔ < x/6 ), (α +9>72 ¿

- In solving equations, whatever you do to the left-hand side must also be

done to the right-hand side.
@writeraldrin: since it’s difficult to explain solving one-step addition and
subtraction, here is a link: https://youtu.be/jWpiMu5LNdg ( addition),
https://youtu.be/VidnbCEOGdg ( subtraction ).
- Inverse operations are operations that counteract each other.

- Addition and subtraction are inverse operations.

- EXAMPLES:

- 8+3-3+8
- 6-2+2=6

- Coefficient is a number commonly used for multiplying variables; Variables

on the other hand, represent unknown numbers in a mathematical
statement. ( 4a - 7 = 5 ) In this equation, 4 is the coefficient and a is the
variable.
