Executive Summary

Standard Bank Limited is one of the successful bank in Bangladesh. It has very well market
reputation. This report mainly based on the existing employee Training and development
analysis of Standard Bank Limited. This report has been prepared based on our knowledge and
practical experience. We have surveyed questionnaire almost 20 employees of Standard Bank
Ltd Principal Branch Motijheel, Dhaka. We have tried to find information regarding this project.
We have used like internet, questionnaire, various informal data etc. Training and development is
one of the most key area where each company is focused on growth and customer reach and
survived in the market. So, the HR of the Standard Bank Limited maintains a systematic and
structured training structure to trainee their employees by best training opportunity and trainers.
Introduction:

Training refers to the efforts planned by the company to facilitate the training of employees with
work-related skills. The purpose of this training is to give employees the opportunity to acquire
the knowledge, skills and behaviors highlighted in the training program and apply them in their
daily activities. Standard Bank Limited Human Resources Department set the same goal to
develop employee skills for acquiring banking services. Standard Bank is one of the successful
banks that have been successfully engaged in banking business in Bangladesh. The bank was
equally successful in the banking sector and trained excellent banking professionals by
introducing advanced staffing practices that were pioneers of other Bangladeshi banks. The Bank
made a lot of efforts in the training department to provide the best training for its employees. An
effective banking education system reflects the effectiveness of organized personnel practices.
The training is provided by Standard Bank Training Center. This is an ongoing process for
employees, and employee development is a culture of banks.

Standard Bank Limited has its own training centers to ensure strictly control over its employees.
This training includes all the traditional and modern training necessary methods to complete the
banking services for employees. Employees are provided with systematic training courses to
ensure the best development of the employees involved. We cover and change our daily training
to meet the changing needs of banks spanning the modern world.
Objective of Study:

There are two types of objectives remain the study.

Broad Objectives:
Evaluate analysis and get the perfect concept about the training programs of Standard
Bank Limited.

Specific Objectives:
 Know about the training types in Standard Bank Limited.
 Familiarity with the various functions of HRM activities and task.
 Period of the training programs.
 Who are the interns of the training programs?
 Training programs topic.
 What the employee think about the training program.
 Find out the training and development problems at Standard Bank Ltd.
 Know how to overcome if they were facing any training problems.
