    Mid Semester Examination
    CV 400 : ESTIMATION, COSTING AND SPECIFICATIONS

    Date : 21st September 2020 Duration: 1 hour (4-5 PM) Maximum Marks: 50

    Note: Answer all questions. The students have to write the answers in A4 sheets and send the scanned copy of the answer
    sheets back to the instructor before 5.05 PM, today, as a single PDF file. Failing which it shall be deemed as if they have not
    written the mid-semester examination. Submissions can immediately be made on Moodle platform. Examination shall be
    proctored and all the students should be available in M S Teams video, throughout the exam duration and submission.

    (1) Work out the quantity of earthwork in excavation from the given plan, by method of centerline. Assume
    same foundation details for both 230 mm and 150 mm thick laterite walls. (35)
    (2) Write a short note on Lumpsum method of work execution. (05)
    (3) Explain (i) Earnest Money Deposit and (ii) Security Deposit. (05)
    (4) Write a note on termination of contracts. (05)
