Exercise V

1. Using the Dodge-Romig tables, determine the double sampling plan for
AOQL = 3.0% when the process average is 0.80 % and the lot size is 2500. What
is the LTPD?

2. Using the Dodge-Romig tables for LTPD, determine the single sampling
plan for a LTPD = 1.0 % when the process average is 0.35 % and N = 502. What
is the AOQL?

4. If the process average is 0.19% defective, what double sampling plan is

recommended using the Dodge-Romig LTPD tables? LTPD is 1.0 % and the lot
size is 8000. What is the AOQL?

5. For the information in problem 4, give the equations for the OC curve.

6. Using the Philips split-risk system, determine the sampling plan for a lot
size of 30,000 and a desired split-risk product quality, 100p = 5.0 %.

7. Determine the sampling plan using the Philips system for a lot size of 800
and a desired split-risk product quality of 2 %.

8. Determine the probability of acceptance of product that is 3 % defective

using the sampling plan of problem 7.
