Family
 Is the basic unit of our society.
 Is a group of two or more persons related by blood, marriage, or adoption and residing
together under one household.
 Is the source of your strengths and one of the motivating forces for you to progress.
An individual or a family should set a realistic goal. Goal is an end or the thing that an
individual or family is willing to work for. In a realistic goal, it is important that the family is
guided by their values and attitudes in life.

The following are some of the suggested goals that promote satisfying family relationships for
your family:
1. Each member of the family should show unconditional love, cooperation,
consideration, respect, care and concern for the members of the family.
2. They should also have sense of responsibility, commitment, trust and loyalty to the
family.
3. Furthermore, they should have open communication with the members of the family.

Family members should also help make the home peaceful and happy. This is achieved
when there is calmness in the home, where members of the family talk gently and keep extreme
emotions under control.

Genuine love for one another in the home promotes other values such as loyalty, respect,
kindness and consideration. These values including companionship, generosity, godliness, fairness
and tolerance; when all practiced by all family members, provide a healthy outlook in life and
