Sophie I’m from London.
Jack Cool! But you live here, now, right?
Sophie I moved here from London with my family in April.
Jack Oh right. Nice. It’s different here, but it’s good.

Jack Is that an art book you’ve got?
Sophie What, this? Yes. I love drawing and painting.
Jack Really? So are you good at it?
Sophie Not bad. I have drawing lessons on Tuesdays after school. Are you interested in art?
Jack Not really, I’m not mad about it. It’s alright. But I like sport, especially basketball and football. I play football
in the school team.
Sophie Hmm, I’m not really into sport. But I like watching tennis on TV. And I watch football with my brother
sometimes.
Jack Do you like music? I listen to a lot of music.
Sophie Me, too! I use my mobile phone to listen to music. It’s new, look.
Jack Hey, that’s a cool phone! Awesome colour.
Sophie Thanks – I love it. I spend a lot of time online, too.
Jack I do, too. But I use my laptop at home, you know, for homework and for music. That’s Mr Brown.
Sophie Is he the science teacher?
Jack No, he’s, our maths teacher.
Sophie What’s he like?
Jack He’s OK, but he doesn’t allow mobile phones in his class. So be careful.
