Scene 1 (Drawing room)

Sophie: When I grow up I am going to own a boutique.

Jansie: Its not that easy Soaf. We’re middle class people we need to
have real jobs.
Sophie: Oh please, I can even be an actress. Now there’s real money in
that.
Geoff: You know you’re crazy right.
(Sophie rolls her eyes)
Jansie: Okay guys, gotta go I need to prepare for an interview I have
next month. Bye!
Sophie and Geoff: Bye Bye.

Sophie: Brother! I need to tell you about something but it needs to be

between us.
Geoff: Umm okay Go on.
Sophie: I met Danny Casey.
Geoff: Where?
Sophie: At the arcade-funnily enough. I was with my friends and I saw
him out of nowhere. I started the conversation and..
Narrator- Sophie goes on telling a very dramatic story to Geoff while he
stands there listening to everything in complete shock.
Geoff- Why would such a famous cricketer give you so much of his time.
I’m sure he has better things to do.
Sophie: No really he said we could meet again next week because the
last time I couldn’t take an autograph.
Geoff: I don’t advice you to fall into all this Sophie. These people are
celebrities, we are normal people. Casey must have strings of girls.
Narrator- Amidst this conversation their father enters the room and
give them a good news.
Father- Hey kids, I have a good news. We’re going to watch county
championship and that too it’s a match between Brisbane Heat and
Sydney Sixers!
Sophie- You mean “the Sydney sixers?’
Geoff- yes Sophie the one with Danny Casey

Scene 2
Narrator- The match was won by Sydney sixers and Casey hit a century.
Father- What a match!
Geoff- Yes it was such an easy win for Sydney.
Sophie- Dad I’ll go to the washroom be right back.
(Sophie walks towards the washroom but on the way finds Danny Casey
sitting in his car)

Scene 3
Sophie- Hey wait aren’t you Danny Casey!
Danny Casey- Umm, Hi. (he says awkwardly)
Sophie- I am a big fan of yours. Can I get an autograph please?
Danny Casey- Okay sure.
Sophie- umm, I don’t have a paper or a pen.
Danny Casey- It’s fine. Let me get it for you.
(gives her his photograph)
Sophie- Thankyou so much. You’re really sweet.
Danny Casey- Do you maybe want to go out sometime?
Sophie- Oh my god! Yes sure.
Danny Casey- Great. I’ll text you then.

Scene 4
Narrator- Sophie and Danny Casey have a good time together. They
hangout together frequently. They visit coffeeshops, arcades, watch
matches together and take pictures as well. Sophie seems to be
enjoying a lot. Its like she is finally living her dream life all like what she
dreamt of.

Scene 5
Sophie- Hey brother!
Geoff- Hi, where have you been? We’ve hardly seen each other this
past week.
Sophie- Do you want to actually know?
Geoff- Yes I have been worried about you.
Sophie- Remember I told you about Danny Casey? Now we’re more
than friends. I have met him multiple times. We hang out together a lot
and its so much fun.
Geoff- Yeah Soaf. Now it’s getting unbelievable. You don’t even know
what you are talking about. Do you think I am a fool to believe all this.
Sophie- Why is it so unbelievable? Can’t I make cool friends?
Narrator- They start arguing and their father enters the room.
Father- Why do you people keep fighting! It’s already so difficult for me
to look after both of you. Atleast Geoff earns for himself but Sophie.
You have made it very difficult for us. Stop with your silly arguments
now.
Narrator- Both of them return to their rooms. Sophie is very sad. She
feels frustrated and calls Jansie and asks her to meet her.

Scene 6
Jansie- Are you okay? You got me so worried.
Sophie- No Geoff and Dad just scolded me.
Jansie- What’s going on. You seem in your own world nowadays. We’ve
hardly talked and now suddenly you call me crying. I am worried about
you Sophie.
Sophie- I have been with Danny this whole week. He is a friend of mine.
And when I said this to Geoff he acted so rude and he says he doesn’t
believe me. I hope atleast you believe me. You’re my bestfriend.
Jansie- Yes I do (she says hesistantly) But can I see an autograph or
you’re pictures maybe?
Sophie- Yes, sure I will bring those tomorrow and show it to you.
Jansie- Okay don’t be sad show them to Geoff. I am sure he will
understand.
Sophie- Okay. Thank you so much Jansie. I feel much better now.

Scene7
(Sophie returns to her room and starts looking for pictures)
Sophie- Where are my pictures! Why can’t I find them. Let me look for
the autographs.
Oh god I can’t even find those. Did I lose them or what.
Narrator- She looks for the autograph and picture everywhere but
doesn’t find anything.
Sophie- Was I daydreaming all this time?
