important to the employees. Every long term plan needs to include short term plans as it gives
direction to and act as a step to reach long term goals. Setting goals is not enough, taking action is a
must to make it a reality.

Short Essay:
Based on I have understood in this module, in order for a management in an organization to be
effective, the characteristics must be applied. First, it must set goals in order to have a vision.
Second, there must be an awareness of opportunities and resources. Third, it must follow a
transformation process or functions. And lastly, since decisions are the key to the performance of a
manager, it must consist a system of authority to lead others. In conclusion, an effective
management must feature a subordinate who is both willing to obey instructions and free to make
decisions, a leader who takes responsibility in decision making but with a caring behavior toward
employees, and a management who encourages and provide opportunities for a team to influence
in decision making. Management along with leadership skills are needed in every industry to remain
competitive in the world economy.

 EXPOSITORY WRITING
1. Which of the management functions do you think is the most important? Why? Explain your
choice in a one-page essay.
In my own opinion, I think every single function of management is relevant. If there’s a plan,
there must be an action. And in order to make action, there must be a preparation. And from
preparing to execution, there must be a manager. All the function is needed by a manager to
achieve the goal or plan made in the first place. Each of the function has its own role to in effectively
managing an organization. Without any one of those, the execution of the plan will no longer be
effective. Therefore, I believe any functions of management is just as important as the others since it
is essential in the process of an effective management.
