CAMPAIGN TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. The “Celebrate Merdeka & Hari Malaysia with Lenovo Campaign” (“Promotion”) is organized
by Lenovo Technology Sdn Bhd (685098-H) ("Organizer").

2. This Promotion is valid for purchases made from 1st August 2020 to 30th September 2020 with
respective conditions (“Promotion Period”).

3. For the purpose of this Promotion, please refer Appendix I for models that are individually
referred to as “Eligible Lenovo Product”, and the gift(s) each Eligible Lenovo Product is entitled
to that are referred as “Free Gift”, and collectively “Free Gifts”, that is redeemable via online at
https://www.lenovo-redemption.com only.

4. This Promotion is applicable to purchases of eligible systems made via participating Lenovo
Exclusive Store, Lenovo Authorized Retailers or Lenovo Online.

5. “Participant”, and collectively as “Participants”, refers to the customer who has purchased the
Eligible Lenovo Product during the Promotion Period, and is the end-user of the Eligible Lenovo
Product.

6. “Promotion Entry”, and collectively “Promotion Entries”, refers to the information submitted
by the Participant throughout the Promotion Period before 14th October 2020. Only Promotion
Entries received with the complete information via https://www.lenovo-redemption.com will
be entitled to a chance to receive a Free Gift. Recipients of the Free Gifts will be selected on a
first-come, first-served basis (hereinafter each recipient entitled for the Free Gifts shall be
termed as “Successful Redemption”, and collectively “Successful Redemptions”) while stocks
last. Promotion Entries received after 14th October 2020 will be forfeited participation in this
Promotion.

7. Successful Redemptions will be notified by Lenovo or its agent(s) by email within 7 to 14 working
days after the submission ends on 14th October 2020. The Free Gift will be delivered within 4
weeks upon receive of the validated notification redemption. Lenovo reserves the right at its
sole discretion to modify or delay the aforementioned delivery date for any reason whatsoever,
including without limitation compliance with government orders, at any time without notice,
explanation or compensation.

8. Employees and immediate family members of the Organizer, participating resellers, distributors,
dealers and service providers are not eligible to participate in this Promotion.

9. Every one (1) purchase will entitle you to one (1) Free Gift and one (1) unit of Purchase with
Purchase (PWP) for every Successful Redemption.

10. Purchase of two (2) or more will be capped at a maximum of two (2) Free Gifts and two (2) units
of Purchase with Purchase (PWP) upon Successful Redemption. The entitlement of the Free Gift
will be based on the two highest purchased value items.

11. Promotion Entries will be accepted at the time of receipt by Lenovo and not at the time of
transmission. Lenovo takes and/or accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected online
entry forms or any delays or failure in any telecommunications services or equipment.
Incomplete, inaccurate, erroneous, ineligible or incomprehensive entry forms will be deemed
invalid, which results in forfeit of participation in this Promotion.
12. Lenovo reserves the right to cancel, terminate, suspend, shorten or extend the above
promotion at any time prior to the expiry of the promotion without prior notice. For the
avoidance of doubt, any cancellation, termination, suspension, shortening or extension by
Lenovo of the above promotion shall not entitle any person or Successful Redemption to any
claim or compensation against Lenovo for any and all losses or damages suffered or incurred by
any person or Successful Redemption as a direct or indirect result of the act of cancellation,
termination, suspension shortening or extension of the promotion.

13. The Participant shall accept the Free Gift as they are and are subject to any terms and conditions
which may be attached thereto. Lenovo makes no representation, warranty or undertaking
whatsoever regarding and implied terms or conditions with respect to the Free Gift. Lenovo
assumes no liability or responsibility whatsoever in respect of any defect of deficiency in any of
the Free Gift.

14. By participating in this Promotion, the Participant consents to the Organizer's disclosure and/or
use of his/her particulars as provided, for the purposes of present or future marketing programs
at any time at the Organizer's discretion.

15. The Free Gift is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. Lenovo reserves the
right to replace the Free Gift with another or equivalent value without notice. Lenovo accepts
no responsibilities for any variation in Free Gift values. Lenovo reserves the right to refuse the
Promotion Entry or recall the item from a Successful Redemption if Lenovo has any reason to
suspect the Promotion Entry were fraudulently and/or wrongly submitted by the Participant.

16. Lenovo’s Accidental Damage Protection (ADP) featured in the Promotion supports the
customers beyond our normal system warranty (which addresses mechanical, defects, and
failures) by providing coverage for accidental damage due to electrical surge, liquid spills, drops
or bumps, and LCD damage. ADP provides continued coverage and multiple repairs or a single
replacement of your LAPTOP or desktop. For more information, please call

17. Lenovo’s Premium Care featured in this Promotion provides 24 hours x 7 days access to
technical Support and extended 9am to 9pm on-site service for 365 days. For more information,
please call 1800 852 6104 (Monday to Friday 9:00am to 6:00pm except public holidays).

18. Taxes, etc. Taxes and their levies imposed by any relevant applicable government or tax
authority, as well as other costs including insurance and incidental costs, that may be levied or
incurred on the gifts shall be fully borne by the recipient.

19. Participants Submission’s fitness for publication. By entering the Promotion, Participants
expressly agree that the completed redemption form does not contain any image or content
that is unlawful, libellous, slanderous, defamatory or invasive of another person’s right of
privacy or right of publicity, or that Lenovo may reasonably deem harmful, vulgar, obscene,
derogatory, pornographic, abusive, harassing, threatening, hateful, objectionable with respect
to race, religion, creed, national origin or gender, or otherwise unfit for publication. Lenovo
shall not be liable in any way for the completed redemption form. Lenovo shall have no
obligation to monitor the completed redemption form, but may do so at its own discretion. If,
 Lenovo, in its sole and absolute discretion, considers the completed redemption form
inappropriate or unsuitable for publication, Lenovo may remove the redemption from the
Promotion.

20. Participants are prohibited from submitting to this Promotion any

images/photos/artwork/music for which they are not the sole and rightful owner. In the event
that any third party alleges that any image/photo/artwork/music submitted infringes the
copyright or other proprietary right of such third party, Participants shall indemnify Lenovo (and
its affiliates) from and against any and all losses, damages, liabilities and costs resulting
therefrom.

21. All entries become the property of Lenovo. Personal details of the Participants collected by
Lenovo may also be used for marketing purposes. However, such personal details will be dealt
with in accordance with Lenovo’s privacy policy. Further information on Lenovo’s privacy policy
can be obtained from https://www.lenovo.com/my/en/privacy/.

22. Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lenovo and its parent company,
affiliates, related corporations, subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees and agents accepts
no responsibility whatsoever for any liabilities of any kind for any damage to any property that
may occur as a consequence of their participation in the Promotion.

23. Indemnity. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Participants undertake to indemnify and
keep Lenovo and its parent company, affiliates, related corporations, subsidiaries, directors,
officers, employees and agents harmless and indemnified against any loss, damage, claims,
costs and expenses which may be incurred or suffered by any or each of them due to their
breach of any of these Terms and Conditions and/or arising from their participation in the
Promotion, and/or their use of any gift.

24. Lenovo’s decision is final and binding. In the event of any dispute arising from the Promotion,
or relating to the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions, the decision of Lenovo on all
matters pertaining to the Promotion shall be final and binding on all parties. No correspondence
will be entertained.

25. No cheating tolerated. Participants acknowledge and agree that no form of cheating will be
tolerated. If found cheating, as determined in the sole and absolute discretion of Lenovo,
Participants will immediately be disqualified from the Promotion. Cheating includes, but is not
limited to, counterfeiting invoices or receipts, using multiple identification numbers, tampering
with, hacking of the Promotion sites (if any), participating in the Promotion without meeting
the eligibility requirements, using any automated software or device to gain an advantage
during the Promotion, use of the Promotion beyond the defined rules of the Promotion,
attempting to disable or overwhelm any of Lenovo’s websites or the Promotion sites (if any),
attempting to disrupt any portion of the Promotion, including but not limited to, allowing
somebody else to use their Personal Information, or tampering with the redemption process.
ANY ATTEMPT BY A PERSON TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY OF LENOVO’S WEBSITES OR
UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROMOTION MAY BE A VIOLATION OF
CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS; AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, LENOVO RESERVES THE
RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY
LAW.

26. No waiver. Lenovo’s failure to enforce any provision of these Terms and Conditions shall not
constitute a waiver of that or of any other provision.
 27. Modification of these Terms and Conditions, etc. Lenovo may modify these Terms and
Conditions and/or withdraw or terminate the Promotion at any stage without any liability
towards anyone.

28. All information is correct at the time of publishing. In the event of any inaccuracy or any
discrepancy between the print and online versions, the online version shall prevail over the print
version.

29. Severability. Each of the provisions of these terms and conditions apply to the maximum extent
permitted by applicable law. If a court holds any provision of these Terms and Conditions to be
illegal, invalid or unenforceable, the rest of these Terms and Conditions will remain in effect and
these Terms and Conditions will be amended to give effect to the eliminated provision to the
maximum extent possible.

30. Laws. The Promotion shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of
Malaysia. The Promotion is void where prohibited or restricted by law, and is subject to all
applicable laws. PRIVACY NOTICE The personal data provided to Lenovo pursuant to this
Promotion, including without limitation Participants’ name, IC number and address, will be
processed and are required to administer their participation in the Promotion. Entries
submitted without the personal data required will be discarded. Lenovo may also use the
personal data to communicate about its products and services, update them on new services
and benefits, provide personalised promotional offers and allow Participants to partake in
Promotions and surveys. In this regard, their personal data may be disclosed and transferred to
our service providers, suppliers and/or affiliates which may or may not be located outside
Malaysia. For any complaints, comments or questions on this Privacy Notice, or wish to access
or correct their personal data , or limit our processing of the same , please contact

31. These Terms and Conditions are governed by Malaysian law.

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Lenovo accepts no responsibility for any variation in the prize value. Prizes awarded in this
Promotion may not be exchanged for cash. All prizes are non-transferable. Substitution of prizes
by the participants is prohibited. Lenovo's decision regarding the award of all prizes, and/or in
relation to this Promotion including any not covered in these Terms and Conditions, shall be final
and binding on all participants, and no queries, challenges or appeals may be made or entertained.
Where required by Lenovo, participants shall be required to complete official release forms prior
to the receipt of the relevant prize(s), failing which, Lenovo reserves the right to forfeit the prize
and dispose of the same as it deems fit.

2. Acceptance of any prize shall constitute participant’s consent to allow the use of the participant's
name, image, biographical data and/or likeness by Lenovo for the purposes of interviews, photo-
taking, editorial, advertising, promotional, marketing and/or other purposes without further
compensation except where prohibited by law.

3. All Promotion entries and all copyright and other rights in such entries and/or other materials
become the property of Lenovo and shall not be returned. The participant agrees to provide a
written assignment of all rights to Lenovo if requested.

4. Lenovo collects personal information ("Personal Information") in order to conduct the Promotion
and may (and is hereby acknowledged and consented by you that Lenovo may), for this purpose,
disclose the Personal Information to third parties, including, but not limited to, prize suppliers and
regulatory authorities. Your entry is conditional upon the provision of the Personal Information to
Lenovo. Lenovo may (and is hereby acknowledged and consented by you that Lenovo may), for an
indefinite period unless otherwise advised, use the Personal Information for promotional,
marketing and publicity purposes including sending electronic messages or calling the entrant by
telephone. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct Personal Information
to Lenovo. Participants who fail to provide all requested Personal Information may be disqualified
from claiming their prizes.
In relation to personal data disclosed by you to Lenovo, you may make inquiries or complaints,
and access or correct such information or limit the processing of personal data by contacting the
Data Privacy Officer via telephone at +603 7710 9012 or via e-mail at Lenovomy@lenovo.com.

5. If for any reason this Promotion is not capable of being carried on as planned, due to without
limitation infection by any computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud,
technical failure, act of God, war (whether or not declared), political coup or insurrection, rebellion,
labour dispute, fire, epidemic, storm, flood, typhoon, explosion, legal enactment, government
directive, order or regulation, any law or regulation having force of law or any other reason or
cause beyond the control of Lenovo, which corrupts or affects the administration security, fairness
or integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion, Lenovo reserves the right in its sole discretion to
cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the process for this Promotion and to disqualify any
individual who tampers with the entry process. Lenovo is not responsible for any problems or
technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or
providers, computer software and/or equipment, failure of any e-mail account or any combination
thereof.

6. Lenovo and Lenovo subsidiaries, affiliates and their respective parent companies (collectively
“Lenovo Group”) shall not be responsible for
 (i) any failure or discontinuation of this Promotion due to any infection by computer virus, bugs,
tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond
the control of Lenovo;
(ii) any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, any
communications line failure, technical malfunction of computer on-line systems, servers,
providers, computer equipment or software;
(iii) any failure of any e-mail or communications to be received by Lenovo or you on account of
technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or any Web site, or
any combination thereof;
(iv) any theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, any of your acts
conducted under the Promotion or your account information, including any injury or
damage to your or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation
in this Promotion;
(v) any printing or typographical errors in any Promotion related materials;
(vi) registrations (or updates or amendments to registrations) that are lost, misdirected, fail to
enter into the processing system, or are processed, reported, or transmitted late or
incorrectly or are lost for any reason including without limitation electronic, computer,
telephone, paper transfer, mail system, human or other error; or
(vii) inability to access any website associated with the Promotion.

7. Other than the limited warranties that the Lenovo Group may provide in respect of products of
the Lenovo Group, the prizes are provided by Lenovo "AS IS" without warranties of any kind,
including warranties or conditions of sufficient quality, merchantability, non-infringement of
intellectual property, or fitness for any particular purpose. Lenovo does not warrant or make any
representations regarding the use, validity, accuracy, or reliability of, or the results of the use of,
or otherwise in respect of the materials on this site or any sites linked to this site. All product
warranties or queries on the prizes should be referred to Lenovo (in relation to products of the
Lenovo Group) or the original supplier or manufacturer (in relation to other products) directly.

8. By participating in the Promotion, you waive any right to claim ambiguity in these terms and
conditions, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, release the Lenovo Group and/or its
agents, representatives, officers, directors, shareholders and employees from and against any
injuries, losses, damages, claims, actions, or any liability of any kind resulting from or arising from
(i) this Promotion or the prize,
(ii) your participation in the Promotion (including but not limited to any acceptance, possession,
use, misuse, or non-use of the prize by the participant), or
(iii) the negligence of the Lenovo Group.
Lenovo shall not be held liable to any Participant/s, for any damages, claim, demand or
compensation arising out of participation in the Promotion.

9. You agree to indemnify, defend and hold the Lenovo Group, and all its officers, directors, owners,
agents, employees, information providers, licensors and licensees (together, the "Indemnified
Parties") harmless from and against any and all liability and costs incurred by the Indemnified
Parties in connection with any claim arising out of
(i) your use of or access to the Promotion and Promotion site;
(ii) violation or any breach by you of these Terms and Conditions; or
(iii) violation of any third party right, including without limitation any copyright, property or
privacy right.
This defence and indemnification obligation will survive the termination of this agreement. Lenovo
reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who breaches these Terms and
Conditions and who tampers with the underlying system and the operation of the Promotion.
10. You acknowledge and agree that no form of cheating will be tolerated. Any persons found cheating,
as determined in the sole and absolute discretion of Lenovo, will immediately be disqualified from
the Promotion. Cheating includes, but is not limited to, using multiple identification numbers,
tampering with, hacking of the Promotion site, participating in the Promotion without meeting
the eligibility requirements, using any automated software or device to gain an advantage during
the Promotion, use of the Promotion beyond the defined rules of the Promotion, attempting to
disable or overwhelm any of the Lenovo Group’s websites or the Promotion site, attempting to
disrupt any portion of the Promotion, including but not limited to, allowing somebody else to use
your personal information, or tampering with entry process. Any attempt by a person to
deliberately damage any of the Lenovo Group’s websites or undermine the legitimate operation
of the Promotion may be a violation of criminal and civil laws; and should such an attempt be
made, Lenovo reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent
permitted by law.

11. Lenovo's failure to enforce any provision of these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a
waiver of that or of any other provision. The Promotion is void where prohibited or restricted by
law, and is subject to all applicable laws.

12. All parts of these Terms and Conditions shall apply to the maximum extent permitted by law. If
any provision of this agreement shall be held to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, then such
provision shall be replaced with terms that most closely match the intent of the parties and the
remainder of these Terms and Conditions shall continue in full force and effect. The section titles
in these Terms and Conditions do not limit the other terms of this agreement.

13. No correspondence will be entered into regarding either this Promotion or these Terms and
Conditions. Any and all disputes regarding this Promotion, including without limitation, eligibility
for the Promotion, competition results and the prizes, will be determined by Lenovo at its sole
discretion, and such decisions shall be final and binding on Participants of the Promotion.

14. Lenovo will be entitled at its sole discretion, to terminate or modify the Promotion or to modify
these Terms at any time prior to the closing date, by posting the revised Terms on the website.
Continued participation in the Promotion will constitute acceptance of the changes made by
Lenovo. If a participant does not agree with any such change, the participant should stop
participating in the Promotion. Participants agree that Lenovo shall not be liable to the participant
for any loss or damages arising as a result of any such change or discontinuation.

15. The Terms and Conditions for this Promotion will be governed and construed according to the
laws of Malaysia. The Malaysian courts have jurisdiction in relation to any claim or action arising
out of, or in connection with, the Terms and Conditions.
